Diablo 4 Ending doesn't make any sense. Mephisto led us to Lilith and want us to kill Her. But Protagnist can't make decision so s/he tells Neyrelle to do what she feels best. Neyrelle stabs Mephisto and traps him in soulstone. While Lilith dies by protagnist, then Neyrelle sails to some place with stone carrying Mephisto?
All thru the game we were told Lilith is bad & Mephisto is worse but Lilith dies and Mephisto survives (Technically in soulstone) ?
Why do we meet Andariel, Duriel & Balrog as mini-bosses? Who resurrected them when they were killed in Diablo 2? WTH is going on?

I not mad about it, i am mad that as a protagonist it should've been my decision & it was most crucial one. Nyelle role in diablo 4 was way lesser than Leah had in diablo 3 and she had more time with player than Nyelle ever had in diablo 4.

The irony is the Leads for other Diablo games are Demons not gender based characters. They went out of there way to make the lead in D4 a Female First & possibly Evil Demon second? & victim.
Problem was never the female character in game. Problem was the character that players have played should've killed & capture Mephisto not her.
She could've been vital in future release in DLC / Diablo 5. After dealing with all the demons and killing lilith the last thing which was major factor our character wasn't "Sure" that it should it ; was lame idea.
The whole game was "woke" its supposed to take place in a medieval/fantasy setting yet most of the main characters are brown or black. Neyrelle, prava, taissa, the black "scotsman" donan lmao! All the white guys in the game end up being evil, cowards or die at some point (sometimes all at once) the game is a joke. First diablo game ive ever played and its definitely gonna be my last.
Ok , who asked? my title is not directed toward skin colour my target is that I am the protagnist, it was supposed to be my decision to kill or leave Mephisto or Join Lilith not hers. She is a side character not main.
But i get it that BZRD did that because they probably want DLC or sequel towards it but still i didn't like Ending. I know for fact that Mephisto manipulate both protagnist and side charcater Neyrelle. Stop bringing colours into it, it's cringe.

I'm with ya on that... I'm a mixed-race person ((Native American/ Lakota- on my father's side, and white- on my mother's)) and I absolutely HATED the forced-diversity in this game... especially Donan the black "Scotsman". Woke idealogy is not only demonizing white people, but it's also making non-whites (like myself) look dependent on societies where whites makeup the majority, and woke ideology also makes the non-white races out to be weak and inferior ((which we are not)), so hey... I'm with ya on being against forced-diversity. It ruins good story telling... ruins the setting the universe is based on. Takes soul away from the game... And promotes fakeness in the hearts of the younger generations that play this garbage. It also further divides whites and non-whites, by keeping us at odds with each other, but that's exactly one of the reasons to why these big companies ((owned by you know WHO)) promote "wokeness" in media ((whether it be in the form of games, movies, and so be you)). It's for the social conditioning... :) Playing humanity out like a game of Chess... To demoralize, and to weaken the hearts of man.

@@JoyofSatanTestimonial-nm4hu I mean it's a product made in America so they will have ot force "diversity & Inclusivity". Just like trhere is always a1 or 2 black actors as a token in a movie. One has to expect they will do something like this.
I mean i play Lost ark also and AGS turned lot of npc in that game to force diversity. In Korean version of that game they have no such thing. Its stupid to do that when story of game/series/movies don't have a need for it. I am all by means have a diverse cast if story demands it.

The reason i am not replying to anyone is because either they haven't played Diablo 4 yet or they have failed to notice a crucial element. Either way, most of us are free to their own thoughts. As a brown man myself i am not gonna elaborate on this.

I'm half way through the storyline, and i have the feeling, that almost every strong character is a woman. Especialy the leading roles. Could also be my anti-woke senses, which kick off on almost every occasion^^ I don't mind if strong women appear in a game/movie (for instance the first Conan movie). But they have to act naturally, and not like a Pimp.
You are not wrong if you think that. Just look at the movies, tv series or premium series on intenet all have female in leading role. I have nothing against it, i love a strong lead female role but when it gets to the point of overflooding and forced into something, it loses it's punch and people hate it. Emily Blunt said it clearly on it.
Yeah when every woman character acts like a man and just does what men do, how is that feminism 😂 no one wants to see a KICK ASS woman beat up 5 dudes at one time and then slug a beer. That what women have become in the eyes of Hollywood and gaming.

Yeah, D4 does come off as a bit “woke” - I mean the story was OK, and Lilith was intriguing, but the way some of the characters were casted was befuddling.
Taissa’s arc should have ended the moment Andariel came about: considering that when you rescue her, it was as if she was to serve as Andariel’s “host” - considering that Astaroth needed a host in Yorin the same rule should have applied to Taissa. Then out of nowhere she becomes a witch that kills Elias, just because…That was Lorath’s job.
Prava: I don’t necessarily have a problem with the way Prava was written as a character - a diabolically pious, single minded, abbot, hell bent on burning the sin and corruption out of Sanctuary, that fits the theme (sort of). However, if this is to be realistic and Medieval, Prava should have been a “he” - considering that institutionalized patriarchy and witch hunting was a thing back then, women were not typically in Church leadership positions back then. The priest who was killed in the beginning should have been in the role of Prava. If Blizzard is going for the intersectional angle, then Prava (or at least her character type) should have been persecuted by the Church, and someone to sympathize with…not feel animus towards. Also, Prava walking barefoot into hell, with no armor, and no weapons, and then surviving an assault by multiple dozens of demons depicts her as being unnaturally OP…especially considering when Donan dies by getting poked in the chest by a wall.
Donan: Don’t have a problem with. Well written character, except for the circumstance of his death. He should have died after the battle with the large ass dragon. That would have been more fitting for him, instead of you know…getting poked in the chest by a wall.
Inarius: Lots of people are complaining about how he was written like an arrogant 14 year old meathead. I have no complaint. Inarius was supposed to be proud and arrogant…Sort of like Lucifer, and I don’t believe his story arc is quite over yet, considering the Cathedral of Light is still around and persecuting heretics - might be a way to bring him back in a DLC…I expect him to recuperate in Hell and become demonic.
Neyrelle: I can’t stand this character. She’s too bubbly and cheery to fit in the Diablo universe, even after her mom dies. Neyrelle fits better in one of the Final Fantasy games. Throughout the campaign, she proves time in and time out that she was more of a liability than an asset. Then in the end for her to say: “I hope this is not the last time we see each other” before the Lilith battle, but then five minutes later: “If everything goes right, we will never meet again” - and for her to just mindlessly run off with the soul stone - I know she was used as a plot device to hint toward future DLCs, but that ending was still flat, and it also makes Neyrelle look more selfish than selfless - and not selfish in the Wirt kind of way, but selfish in the teenager who thinks they can save the world kind of way.
I am going to wait out the expansion and see if Blizzard corrects some contradictions, but I am not holding my breath.

Genuinely asking as it just seemed horribly executed story wise, but I didnt notice anything overtly ideological.
bringing back Inarius a male angel character just to make him a man-child and have him be defeated and humiliated in the most underwhelming way like they did to Joel in the last of us 2, to Hector in castlevania, to Luke skywalker in star wars and like what they did to every single male character in every god damn piece of entertainment that the woke put their hands in just to turn Lilith into some misunderstood mother figure and have Neyrelle be bascially the main character while the player is made into a side character in his own game "i cant trust my own felling about mephisto" like really you dont see ANYTHING WOKE about that?

I know im a little late for this, but wheres the "wokeness" in the game, i read through the comments here and i just see people complaining there's too many black people and women in it, its a fantasy game, you know, as in stuff happens that couldn't in real life. I never have ever said anything against this game characters being black or too many women in it. It's how game takes the turn in ending which is forced upon us to make "woman empowerment"approach by making her take crucial decision on killing Mephisto or not.
We as player are protagnist, Neyrelle is supporting antagonist, she was not suppose to take that decision, in most games you face the consequences of choices you make during story mode. In D4 it was forced. Alan Wake 2 is prime example and even CB2077 also where you make lot of choices on how you approach game not the side-antag/protagnoist.
Wokeism is where people are getting overloaded over "strong woman" character approach. I am getting sick and tired of every series, movies & games having forced woman characters who have no character development in the story. Tomb Raider & Alan Wake 2 games are also one of the finest example how a female lead character should be presented not just for the sake of "inclusivity and diversity"approach.
This type of forced female lead with no punch or character development is why most movies, games and series are boring and people are boycotting it. Disney studio is prime example of it atm.
Mark my words, GTA 6 will also have this wokeism stuff in it and people will crucify Rockstar games over it.
