As someone with a stutter, James Earl Jones has been a major inspiration for me. He began life as a shy kid with a stutter who even went voluntarily mute because he struggled with speaking. Now he’ll be remembered as an acclaimed actor known for his commanding voice and line delivery. R.I.P.
Same here, I had stutters too sometimes and James had the issues yet became iconic as Darth Vader and many other roles
James turned his weakness into his greatest strength, which is something we should all be inspired by. I had a speech delay, much like he did, and I struggled to socialize with the people around me and now I know James Earl Jones had similar problems too, and that just speaks to me because his voice became the most recognizable voice in the world despite not being able to talk until he was 8. Thanks for everything, Mr. Jones, and may the force be with you.

I knew someone who would go quiet rather than repeat themselves. I kicked myself for not realising it was because they had a stutter. But I noticed a long time ago that stutterers are often nervous about singing or acting because of this vocal tick. However, singing and acting cures many stutters because of how the brain works when you talk. Normally you know what you want to say but you don't map out every word before you speak. You construct your sentences as you go. When you sing or act you know exactly what words you're going to use and how you're going to use them. You don't have to process them on the fly. Eventually this retrains your brain to process speech more effectively. It's like your mind learns to lay down train tracks before you reach them instead of just hoping they will be there when you need them. People in entertainment famous for their vocal abilities often have a form of stutter when they are just being themselves. Rowan Atkinson, Ed Sheeran, Samuel L. Jackson and James Earl Jones among the many.
We lost a true king… thank you for being a huge part of my childhood. Rest easy king
James Earl Jones was a pillar of inspiration that's touch the hearts of millions of people across the world and over generations. A performer, an actor, a mentor, and a friend. As long as one person still remembers him, either as Darth Vader, Mufasa, or any of his many rolls he played or voiced. He will always be there touching our hearts from the other side.

Rest in peace Jame Earl Jones. The voice of power. Epic acting. Hearing him as Mufasa brought tears to my eyes. I lost my grandma in 2017 and cried almost everyday during that year. When you spoke of the stars i know shes up there and looks down on me every night. Thank you Mr. Jones. You too are up there each night. Never forgotten. Never.

The last scene in this trubute was PERFECT. Jame and Carrie, now both gone, but never forgotten. Funny how two of his biggest roles he was never seen, only heard. But he was the perfect choice for each.

My thanks for the memories of 46 years of the best of the best of these films. He voiced Darth Vader for the first time a year before I was born.
