There is no competition, it has so much going on in this movie compared to others that I personally fell this movie stands on its own. Also it not fair to compare this movie with others. May there should be a new Genre named after this movie called Rrrr… :-)

RRR characters are not in closet. In India friends do have that close contact. Nothing gay about it.
Also it's not propoganda movie. Don't know where you got that from. It's just entertainment movie based on 1920 's India. Even the 2 characters individually were real .

Are you lucky. Here in Germany I couldn't find a movie theater close to my hometown.
I watched it on Netflix many, many times now. Sadly it is only shown in Hindi (with subtitles).
