Physical comedy is not easy. Heidi Gardner is fantastic. She elevates every scene she's in, even at times when it's only a few lines. Keep giving her showcase sketches like this.
Heidi got me from her first line to the last. She is so good in every character she plays!! She is using all of her being and is so dedicated, a bless for SNL! And she deserves every scene or kiss she got in every episode from the cute guest stars! :P Go Heidi!!! :D

Heidi deserves to be among a list of Oscar nominees. Her versatility and commitment to her roles is nearly unparalleled in recent sketch history. I hope Hollywood recognizes that and gives her leading roles once she is done with SNL.
SNL these days is mostly staffed by millennials and this is a very particular sort of absurdism that appeals to me having been a teen watching Adult Swim and old Kids in the Hall reruns and the golden "Hader, Mulaney, Armisen and co" era too. You either get it or you don't and I can understand why some people would prefer older seasons but to me most of those sketches DRAG and are built around one single concept beaten into the ground. New SNL is surreal, absurd, not TOO topical but still evocative of something relatable but skewed just enough that it takes you off-guard.
