Filipino Olympic double gold medalist Carlos 'Caloy' Yulo airs his side on the alleged rift with his mother over the management of his finances and his girlfriend Chloe San Jose. Yulo ruled the floor exercise event on Aug. 3, 2024 and vault apparatus on August 4 at the Paris 2024 Games, cementing his status as the greatest Filipino Olympian.

I don't like Caloy's mom and now I also don't like his girlfriend. Is it necessary for here to be at the background like a little demon saying "Hey Caloy's mom, I won." Instead of her helping the family fix the issue, she just made it bigger. I now somehow understand what Yulo's mom said on her interview why she didn't like this girl.

Ok, both parties have spoken… one of them is either lying, or just simply inaccurate. What I just don’t like here is his mom being public on soc med with their family problem, and even excluding Caloy on the list of her children. Never imagined a mom can do that. On the other hand I also feel off that Caloy has his gf, the source of their family problem, present on his side during this interview.. the bias is seen overwhelmingly. I wished he had done this interview ALONE. On the gf, well, instead of making things less problematic, maybe try to help Caloy and the mom patch things up, she engages clap backs, trash talks, and shading with the mom. I wonder how Caloy feels about that.
