The report TAG provides through the QR code is insane. There is so much detail. Anyone who ever got a card back and wondered 'why did I get that grade?' will have nothing to wonder about with this company. Definitely going to give them a try.
I am not typically a fan of new grading companies. Most seem like money grabs, but this one actually brings something new to the table. The 1000 point scale is really really cool. And the slabs are clean and simple. One thing I think they can lose in the future once they accept submissions of more than 10 cards is the individual wrapping. If you submit 100 cards then that might get a bit annoying. Good luck to them, let's see if they catch on!

This is the second time I've seen TAG featured on a channel I follow. I hope their grades withstand scrutiny-ie, the most important thing for a card grading company-because everything else is super nice: Their slabs are sleek, the QR codes a brilliant touch, and they seem to be actively thinking about the customer-end experience. Unfortunately I think it'll take a lot to crack into a market dominated by PSA/Beckett. Like, even outside grade trustworthiness (which is where the increased value of a 10 lies), a lot of collectors are loyal to one grading company simply for the cohesive look in their collection. They've also entered the market at around the same time we've seen a number of new grading companies spring up, which makes it more likely they get lost in the noise.
But of all these new grading companies, TAG definitively looks the best. Fingers crossed for them.
The TAG slabs look great. I have felt them in person and they are very nice and the digital report is fantastic. Love that you can try to get the best base Julio out of the 50 submitted because they are individually ranked. TAG is opening up responsibly by not accepting too many submissions, but I hope they scale up soon to be a bigger player.
I think we are seeing a grading company that can LEGIT challenge PSA. It will take time. But what TAG did here amazes me. Astounding.

I am a fan of smaller grading companies and I wish the rest of the hobby felt the same. I will definitely give TAG a shot!

Tag is doing some cool stuff. I hope they catch on a bit more. At least they tell you why your card graded the way it did.
TAG is the future of grading. Can't wait to see what they do next! It's great not to have an awkward, ugly label at the top of cards and the detailed report is amazing.
TAG has innovation, but 90 plus percent of the hobby does not care about grading reports UNLESS the person gets a grade they do not want. TAG will not be the future unless their technology is purchased by one of the BIG 4, which is what they want.

Tag was at the Toronto card expo the last two yrs. There no joke. You should scan a card and look how good of a job there doing. I couldn't believe it. If there is any! Thing on that card it wall. Show on. The scan.
I like that new TAG grading company, doubt if they are still in business as of recent 2024? I like the breakdown of thier grading service and, how they put thier logo in the top: it's more transparent which is great because it does not take away from the card pictures on the front of each card however, I do have some cards of Boggs, Ramirez and some others that have refractor transparency, another words you can see through parts of the cards. I hope they are still in business because I sent them an email? I thank you for sharing sir!
I just wanted to update that TAG contacted me directly and they are still grading cards, in fact they have thier eyes on future expansion because they only grade pre 1989 or later cards. As we speak thier working on doing a Heritage & vintage. The most cards I have are Vintage dated 1912-1979 I do have some later cards and up to 2024 but, I'm choosing to wait. I hope this helps someone, if you have not seen thier grading service, you will need to check out TAG, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Dylan Busby made it to AAA in 2021. Got 1 hit in 13 ABs and was released.
Really like the thoroughness in the report. Label is clean, but wish it had a little more contrast to make it easier to read. Could possibly just be the lighting and the camera though.

Well I went to get a card graded and it turned out my card is fake! Had this card for a while and after his amazing season I looked it up and it’s worth 1k-2k and when I went to get it graded the guy told me it was a fake! I’m so frustrated. The card I thought was worth good money is not worth a dime.

I like the look of the tag grading system. But psa is the industry standard right? And a psa 10 is going to be worth more than a 10 from anyone else. Sucks but it is what it is
Weak lineup of mystery packs. Not great value. The Tag graded cards are nice, but I doubt another company will be able to make headway into that space. Thanks for another great video.
TAG is smart but only grade 2000 or newer cards
Like HGA, their slabs look good (IMHO) but I doubt they'll come close to PSA in value. I like the 1000 point scale and the slabs look clean. Assuming 950+ is a 10, 900-949 is a 9, etc. I also like the wrapper so you can "rip" your cards (great for influencers).

The TAG seems a bit overboard on all of it. Looks nice but PSA works just fine

Tag is a great idea but the technology just isnt there to do it properly yet. Currently they are barely a blip in the market, but they already have a reputation for poor and inconsistent grading. Their slabs are decent and I think they are trying to be a legit company (some grading companies grade fakes or just give everything a 10) so thats a plus in their favor. I don't see them being able to succeed as a business though. -- Speaking as someone who worked for a grading company, and now sells graded cards for a living.
I haven't seen anyone complain about poor grading from them?
Hi Gabriel, not sure where you have heard that, but we can assure you that our grading is not poor nor inconsistent. We grade on a 1000 point scale and provide all of the data to back it up. The grading has been shaped over the course of 10 years based on millions of data points that reflect the industry standard as anticipated by the hobby. We stand behind our grades, and present all of the facts about each card (exact centering measurements, scratch locations, etc.) TAG aims to represent an objective standard for grading, in an industry rifled with subjectivity.

@@taggrading Ive seen 2, and one was misgraded. Since my work has been all about graded cards for years, I hear about and see every brand. People in the business discuss things. I dont actually think your company is bad, you have some good stuff going on too, I just dont believe the technology you have invested in is capable of delivering on the promise yet. I wish you the best though, the industry needs competition and original ideas.
Anyone on the internet can say whatever they want without proof to back it up. Case in point, this comment. Back up all your claims with verifiable information or don’t try and bash a company with anonymous claims.
