Saw this tour in '88 whilst stationed in Germany with the British Army, a magical night from the self playing piano and incredible stage that moved and raised up, his band were on fire as was he.
What a marvelous legend Lionel Richie is!! The masterpieces he sings here sound just like the cut records. Must've been a very fun concert. Great to see it live on UA-cam.

Always loved Carlos Rios' playing and he reminds me of a sadly departed British session guitarist called Alan Murphy (Go West, Level 42, Kate Bush, etc) - they both managed to create a melodic fusion style that fitted pop and commercial music - just brilliant!
@@cameronbirch1470 Who do you mean, Alan or Carlos? If Alan, he had a band called SFX, which released one album on Naim Records, but it was a collective of top session guys, and naturally the band ceased after Alan's untimely passing.
Lionel Richie has been my favorite since Commodores Days in 1971..Used to always sit in front row, meet & Greet, go backstage, etc..Vegas concerts at Wynn $1500? Not in my budget anymore, but he was just inducted into Rock n Roll Hall of Fame 6 got Gershwinn Award too. Proud of him, yearn to meet him again ..
