I grew up going to church regularly, mom was the pianist. I was taught if I did more good than bad I would go to Heaven. I sang in choirs, taught Sunday School, organized local area Christain youth activities and camps and worked with Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. I did have some teenage boy sin patterns. I knew overall I was a good person but did not know if I was good enough to get to Heaven. In 1964 while attending the University of Oklahoma, I started going to Campus Crusade Christ meetings. I learned that God loves me but my sin caused a separation with God. God knew man (I) would sin and sent Jesus to be the sacrifice for me. He was killed and 3 days later arose from His grave and a little later ascended to Heaven. I learned if I would truly believe that Jesus was God's son and God's only provision for the forgiveness sin and accept Him as Savior, I would be saved. November 5, 1964 I did just that. Now the good things I do - I do because I want to, NOT to make up for some sin I have committed. And I know I will go to Heaven when I die and I have no fear You too can know you will go to Heaven if you accept Jesus, what He did, asking to be your savior forgiving your sin.
First of all, I would like to express admiration for your great gift of creating such a beautiful work on this project, I'm new to creating gospel music videos with backgrounds that compliment the message of the song without distracting from being able to concentrate entirely on the message. I have been trying to put together the full content for my future funeral being that my health has been greatly diminished for the past four years, and this is one of the songs that I plan to use. In your text accompaniment, there are some differences in the words as sung by The Gaither Vocal Band and what you have placed on the text lines. In the audio as sung it is "for a drink from some cool spring" your text reads "for a draught from some cool spring" and another line as sung it is "Through His blood I now am saved" your text reads "Through His life I now am saved", this line occurs more than once throughout the song with the same difference from the audio track. I was hoping that you might consider uploading this song with the text matching the audio. I fully understand the issue of translation words being synonymous in meaning for some languages, but I do think it would be correct to have it match the audio track used for the video. I could do my own video but it would in no way be as excellent as your gifted work. Thank you for your consideration.
