What more does one need? Watching a Vaughan Smith video while having breakfast. Cranberry juice in a chawan made by Vaughan, Typhoo tea in a Simon Leach mug, and a microwaved poached egg in a ramekin made here at home. Really enjoyable video, never ending fun. This time next week we will be getting ready to head out on our road trip north. Cheers...Freddie
Are you moving already? I will put some snow in the freezer for you. Sounds like a nice breakfast, what about second breakfast and elevenses. Check out our new radio station set up across the road from us. www.coastalvillages.ca It is on day 2 so they are having teething problems but the programming has been good and the music is excellent.
I did a bunch of bowls using some chattering and waiting for them to be fired. I was thinking last night about trying some chattering on some colored slip and low and behold a video on it from you! Thank you so much for the inspiration Vaughan and now off to watch.
I’m not a potter, but the chattering noise takes me right back to clipping a playing card on my bike spokes and buzzing down the street. Lol. So I’ve watched it twice. The pots look good, too.
Vaughn, I’ve been thinking of you as I hear more and more reports of horrendous winds and flooding in Nova Scotia at the tail end of hurricane Lee. Hope you and yours are safe.
Hi Vaughan, Love your videos. Especially when I'm painting my pots :) Would you please send me your glaze recipe with a metallic look. A student of mine is keen to give it a try at home. Thank you.

Thanks Vaughan on the underglaze piece did you just use a clear glaze over? Bowls are lovely 😊
Yes but it had some oxide colourants in it.
Very helpful. Thank you!
Glad you liked it.

We survived without any damage, except for the garden. Thanks for asking.

When I'm chattering with my trimming tools I feel like the looser the grip the better.
