Retro hammer spam with an ability that basically makes it into vineboom except you can control where they get flung AND you can use it every 5 seconds. BALANCED

Jet didn't really fill the whole map with gloves, but instead when you use your ability on a player, the jet comes and throws slaps at them which do default's knockback, but rapidly.
pretty sure it was also made for a UA-camr Ppilot or pilott i forgot the name until it changed from pilot to jet

There is this bug where when you are on someones leash you can not reset, I do not know if that problem was connected to link not being able to reset, but now the only way to escape a leash user if you are leashed is to leave or wait until the leash user gets slapped. Also, glitch is broken right now too, the glitch ability keeps you up in the air for another 5-10 seconds, so once you get back on the ground the glitch user can immediately use their ability again.

I REMEMBER when retro was the one of the strongest gloves but now is the one of the funniest gloves
Whirlwind actually got more changes than that. In the sparky update it got that huge nerf, but this time whirlwind sent you FORWARD and opponents BEHIND you, kinda like pull glove; then, in the tinkerer update, this change got reverted and now knocks YOU back and other players; in the Halloween update it actually got its only buff as of today, where its cooldown decreased from 15 seconds to 12 seconds.
Also you still can hit more than one people but it needs to be at the same time

It didn't knock you foward, it knocked you in the opposite direction of the first player that trigged the ability and everyone in the area get knocked in the opposite way of the position of your character. It was dumb, it only worked before the nerf, and then they reworked the fling direction of the whirlwind and give it a smaller cooldown (the cooldown was like 25 secconds beacause of the non nerfed whirlwind, but after the nerf for some reason they decide to let it be 25 secs, killing the glove). But now i think they gave all the buffs it needed, just to you know, i'm a whirlwind main, knowing how to use whirlwind is hard, but when you get how to use it, you are just uncounterable.

I just remember playing slap battles in the whirlwind update and just getting demolished and demolishing people with whirlwind. Another thing is that the rattlebones "nerf" was in the rob update where if you sit on top of him you can control him.

They should nerf overkill so you have to activate an ability that lasts 30 seconds, and when the ability is on, it acts as normal overkill, and 30 second cooleown
from that one day they nerfed whirlwind i was heartbroken because although the glove was insanely broken it was fun to use at the same time
(its still somewhat fun and good to use sometimes)
Jet used to be pilot glve and it shoots a bunch of gloves at the target, but it glitched and then was changed

larry was accidentally nerfed due to the 1b visits update which made him rideable, unintentionally capping his speed to the base one :D
Seriously though, a table traveling at the speed of light with a giant hitbox with a not so long cooldown that is cheaper and has similar knockback than God’s hand definitely deserves a nerf.
Fun Fact: Pre-nerfed bob only lasted for exactly 5 hours and 36 minutes after the update before it became unobtainable temporarily for 2 days and came back because:
1.) It's too easy to get (it used to be a 1/1000 chance to get bob)
2.) Obviously because it has no counters at all
I Mainly use retro, it’s sad to see it get nerfed but it is very powerful. I dont really use ban hammer a lot tho

the pictur of jet glove you showed is the old power of jet, it used to shoot gloves like a mini gun at you from a jet (i think im not sure) then it got change to a missile

I have the most incredible anecdote about Slap Royale, one day it was quiet, and a glacier killed a lot of people, after 3 were left it made someone unable to get up, because of its bug
Then he did the same thing to me, but I was on the beach, and by miracle I reached the canyon, and that made it possible for me to get up and kill the glacier
Retro nerf was a great birthday gift for me

(So i start slap battle in chirtmas update 2020-2022 and i really enjoyed it but at one point slap battle got really boring for me and i start quitting it i dont played slap battle anymore untill i found your video that what makes slap battle fun again after i watched it i come back to slap battle again after some months i realized that i had boring gloves and that's the reason why i didn't played anymore)

Good video but you forgot to talk about Psycho so I'll do it for you: We know Psycho has a double jump float that makes you immune to slaps and prevents other KB sources from launching you right? Well when it was first release you could SLAP DURING THAT so basically you can dash around the map at super speed completely invincible with a short cooldown and when someone gets hit by you, you can dangle them next to an edge and knock them off. Basically its a one shot but you have an invincible dash where you can slap people with. Streak gloves were UNPLAYABLE if you had a Psycho in your server. Now it's just a good mobility and escape tool but Psycho is still basically death if you get slapped by it so it's still really good.
TLDR: Used to have Invincible Dash that lets you one-shot anybody you hit with basically no cooldown that's now just a Mobility/Escape tool

I’d say retro is still a top 5 glove in the game because of the long sword and bomb jump, while the ban hammer was nerfed sure, it’s still op and has the same knockback.
To be fair, I only used retro to deal with annoying-ass oneshot users (such as the occasional OK user with 2-4k slaps) and seeing the ban hammer get a nerf that bad made me ponder my life choices.
And if Detonator ever gets nerfed, oh if it ever gets nerfed...
not to mention how banhammer had inv frames (and I’m sure it still does today) and you could use bomb in ragdolled.
I love retro so much, even if it's nerfed to the ground, it's still very good, but i didn't get it yet

they say retro is overpowered but there are 2 gloves that are way too overpowered
bus technically got nerfed with the introduction of Blasphemy, because bus now has a 3% chance of not even working

I remember I got bob the first day it came out I was so happy and I was using it while playing with my friends and I was so mad when they made bob killable
I remember in the OG slap battles ICE was just too OP since it had more knockback + the ice passive lasts longer which can lead to ALMOST A ONESHOT GLOVE
plus it has bigger hitbox then other gloves

1:58 you know you can slap while inside the whirlwind ability, right? A ragdolled player doesn't trigger whirlwind's ability, so if you are capable of slapping the opponent player before the the ability triggers, you can actually combo people into oblivion, not easy to do but it's better than before that you couldn't even send the guy to the direction that you wanted with the ability.
When it first got nerfed, the ability flinged the person into opposite direction of you while the reverse with you, it was bad, but now it fling the opponent into the direction that you are looking and you the opposite.
This continuous whirlwind combo that i will be calling "cwwc" is enough to kill any seccond lifer gloves, like fish for example, any oneshot in the middle of the middle island and even killing more than one person with the ability (i actually get out of control when i start doing a cwwc and killing a player, trying to do it in anyone else i see on my way, even friendly players... i think i need help)...

Theres probably other gloves like this BUT:
I remeber shard getting ULTRA BUFFED in the 2022 or 2023 (i forgot) halloween update
It was LITREALLY a shot gun because of how fast it was.. (shard wasn't that good before)
But then it got nerfed to a reasonable speed
Oh yeah and BOMB during the christmas update of 2023 BECAME A PROJECTILE NUKE. It flung people off the map easily and you could bomb jump more than half may across the main island.
(It then got nerfed)

Retro just needs a longer cooldown, and the sword should be an ability that gives you the sword for 10 seconds and have a 10 second cooldown, in fact every ability on retro should be 10 second cooldosn

jets pre "nerf" was really trash
it was originally named "pilot", cause one of tencellls friends channel was named pilott. and it was really easy to dodge all you had to do was move in the opposite direction and keep jumping. glad it was buffed
the image that you found was bugged. upon release pilots gloves wouldnt disappear. making gloves stay on the map forever but wouldnt kb anyone. just a visual glitch, that would be fix 4 hours later

Ok, I understand these nerfs however, I got some beef with oven. Even if the Knockback got shorten, the cooldown inside the oven is pretty ridiculous. The ability is also pretty spammable. So if you were to target someone… It might not kill you but it prevents it from being able to play the game in peace :/
