I love how Sesshomaru wisely left little Rin to live as a human in the village. He wanted to allow her to grow up normally, “examine her heart at her own pace”, and make her own life decisions as an adult, even if they didn’t involve being with him later. You can tell by how he spoke that he really hoped she would choose to be by his side once again in the future!
Lol the haters on the new sequel using morales & crying on the fact that Sesh and Rin had 2 kids. Its staged in a ancient era with a supernatural genre,such relationships are natural. Also sesh or rin never looked at each other in a father-daughter way & thats a fact.

As Kagome said right after hearing this, "THAT'S A PROPOSAL!" (as in, a marriage proposal)... I really wish we could hear the earlier part, where Sess is sitting at his father's grave site and agonizing over what to say to Rin to make her fall in love with him... how to propose properly to a human girl. That adds a lot of context.

Never at any point in the series or did the producer of the anime or did Rumiko Takahashi (the original author of the manga) say that Sesshoumaru was Rin's adopted Dad. Rin is very important to Sesshoumaru, but calling them father/daughter is quite an stretch. While Sesshoumaru is very protective of Rin he doesn't do anything really fatherly for her. In the series Their were so many examples of great dad's: teaching their kids how to hunt/gather food (Kanta and his dad episode 143), giving them fatherly advise (miroku and his master episode 28), teaching them skills they can use in an career (Sango and Kohaku's dad teaching them how to be demon slayers episode 24), playing with their kids (miroku and his kids final act episode 26). Sesshoumaru never did any of these things for Rin. Sesshoumaru made jaken play with her and help her gather food. Sesshoumaru is suppose to be the demon equalivent of an 19 year old according to the author and Rin is 7. Can't say that I know too many 19 year olds raising 7 year old daughters. Even Sesshoumaru's attitude thought out the series is reflective of that of an teenager. The theme of the Cd drama this was cut from is proposal (marriage proposal). When I originally watched the show I though they were like an protective big brother/hero worshipping little sister (especially after what Miroku said to Sesshoumaru right before he when back to Rin in episode 44). The audio cd drama was not written by Rumiko Takahashi - (she didn't write/make the 4 Inuyasha movies either - but their still loved by fans everyone and some consider the movies canon), She still had the final say in the release of the Cd drama - she had to approve it herself because Inuyasha belongs to her (she's the original author after all!). This confession/cd drama is not saying that Sesshoumaru is SEXUALLY ATTRACTED to child Rin (that would be pedophilic) . Sesshoumaru is waiting for Rin to make her decision. Some say that Rin is suppose to like 16 during the Cd drama, but to me she doesn't sound like it. Their love story is similar to that of Koga and Ayama. DON"T LISTEN TO OR FOLLOW THE INFORMATION from those 'Sesshoumaru/Rin FAQ's" page or "Sesshoumaru/Kagura FAQ's" page. If you read those pages closely you realize that the person that wrote it is just trying to make Rin's character/life reflect her own life as an 11/12 year old child going through Japan's foster care system - which is totally off because Rin was an Homeless 7/8 year old orphan. The way an 7/8 year old girl is treated by adults/society is totally different then the way an 11/12 year old is treated by adults/society . To sum up, Sesshoumaru is CHILD Rin's protector (like bodyguard -think like protective DOG , NOT DOTTING DADDY!) and according to the Cd drama epilogue (officially approved for release by the ORIGINAL AUTHOR of Inuyasha - Rumiko Takahashi) his possible future bride WHEN SHE'S OLDER. No amount of Yelling or screaming or trolling or telling me off, changes those blatant facts.
Romantic songs for these two are very popular. And this drama CD is official. It may not be written by RT but she did indeed back it up and let it get released OFFICIALLY. Even Kappei himself said how Sesshoumaru can't love anyone but Rin. Sooo there ya go. I mean come on now, don't you know fiction is fiction? Unlike you most people can separate the two. Are you aware that this is an official drama cd where Sesshoumaru asks Rin to marry him? He's talking about proposal in it. To Rin. Also, Rumiko Takahashi loves this pair more then Inuyasha x Kagome. Wanna know something else? Sesshoumaru is a DEMON. He does not care about age, at all. Do you think he does? Age is nothing but a number. I know so many people in love who're many years apart. Also, Rin will eventually grow up and the age that bothers you so much doesn't matter anymore. So you're blinded, disgusting, hateful comments are invalid.
I totally ship this pairing and will forever. Sesshoumaru sees Rin as Rin, not as a little girl, not as a human, but as his special someone who he can't live without. It's shown so many times that I'm shocked some people still manage to deny it. I find the relationship between these two so beautiful and I wish more stories were like theirs. TBH. They were the only reason I watched the anime, listened to the drama cds, and read the manga.

I love Sessy x Rin. And for everyone saying the age difference is too big, just remember humans have much shorter lifespans. Inuyasha is over 200 years old, and Kagome was 15-16ish, so it doesnt really matter.

@@rexlapis1075 read the Yashahime manga it's much better - (it's a bit darker story wise - much like the Inuyasha original manga). Rumiko Takahashi was the character designer and story supervisor for it, along with back stories about Inu no Taisho and how Sesshoumaru actually fell in love with Adult Rin - and them going on dates. The story is very reminiscent of Rumiko Takahashi other works.
To all those who's firm on the idea that Sesshomaru sees Rin as a daughter, I hope you get to hear those words from your dad or brother or uncle, or a father figure. And let's see if you'll ever look at your relationship in the same way. Rumiko Takahashi didn't write this, still she HAD to approve of it before it came out. I'm a SessxRin shipper/fan, and seeing this makes me so happy. But others don't see it as official, non-canon you say. And since many are arguing about the canon-ness of the proposal, I can't fully accept it as canon as well. Because I'm hindered from being satisfied at seeing something as official if others disagree. I'm only talking of the PROPOSAL. I'm saying that I can't fully consider this Drama CD as canon, but I'm not saying that it isn't real in any sense. So for those who think that this is in no way relevant to the series, okay. BUT you have to see the FACT that Rumiko Takahashi approved of this, canon or not. So that means that it's still a hint, a big one, that is, of the true (most probable and would-be) relationship between Sesshomaru and Rin. Otherwise, why would this proposal even be out for all Inuyasha fans to hear? And this 'proposal' is in no way just a message of a father to his daughter about assuring her of his love and protection, that's a total shit. The directors didn't have to create such words if it's for mere platonic father-daughter intention. The theme of the CD is also about 'proposal' since Rin asked Kagome about Inuyasha's proposal, so from there you'll get the hint that this is about 'marriage proposal' akin to romantic feelings, and that if ever there should be mentions of proposal, it IS romantic. Kagome even said it, she said that's a proposal, and surely she's talking of something romantic, right? After all that stuff, if you listened to the whole audio. You don't need the words 'I love you' to say what you feel, if you just understand beyond the words, you'll know what one truly means/feels.

Have you guys heard the CD Track 3? Where Sesshomaru said to Jaken that he is having a second thought about being "alone" for years and said that it's time for him to talk to Rin but he can't find the right words to say it. Then Jaken said, that Sesshomaru means he wants to take Rin as his bride and Jaken told him why don't he ask his mother about it. Thats when Sesshomaru decided to go to the underworld to ask his father instead. "What did you say to that woman called Izayoi?" We all know that Izayoi is the human mother of Inuyasha. Then at CD Track 5, after their tongue twister and after Kagome's recorded Sesshomaru's "Perperopero" tongue-twister they played it in slow motion and it turns out that it's this proposal.

Rin's innocence character was meant to change/soften Sesshoumaru's character by being her protector. It is quite endearing to me to think that they fall in love when she grows up (like Ayame and Koga). Many fans/people twisted the characters relationships to make them more relatable to modern day relationships or to reflect something that they always wanted. ( I've seen/heard fans say that Kagome is Shippo's adopted mom and Inuyasha is his adopted dad. The truth of the matter is that Kagome was meant to be Shippo's "big Sister" and Inuyasha his "big brother" . Many fans want Shippo to have an "normal family" again to be more relatable. ) I've come across many fans who say "Oh, Sesshoumaru is so protective, loving and patient with Rin. He lets Rin talk on and on - listening to her every word - giving her all the attention that an father would give! Oh, I never had an dad growing up - so let me have this - Sesshoumaru and Rin being father/daughter and nothing else! You western fans will never understand - that's what Asian dad's are like. " Sesshoumaru and Jaken both often told Rin to 'shut up!' many times over many, many episodes. I don't live in Asian but, to the best of my knowledge aren't gender roles heavily enforced in families in Asian countries? Don't Asian Dads go to work all day long to earn money so his family can have food, clothes, and shelter? The moms stay home to cook and clean and raise children. The mothers nurture the children and the dads give them mortal/fatherly advise to guide the children as they grow into adulthood. My thoughts after the final act was Rin supposed to bear affection toward her dear lord as she's growing up older enough to understand more about romance but it would turn out to be unrequited because of Sesshomaru's superiority, his less expressive behaviors, and her respect for him as a protector. Until seeing this audio drama, it was the other way round that it was actually Sesshomaru who grows the love on her 😂 😂

Light Wolf Productions, who says theyll get together while Rin is still a child? “Our hearts are tied together... that is why it is fine for things to remain as they are for now.” He literally says they should stay the same _for now._ So that means he’ll wait until the day they can explore their relationship. It’s not like Rin will stay a child forever, she will age. And that’s the time when Sessy can develop another type of relationship with her.
Even this audio wasn't actually written by the creator of Inuyasha (but she eventually approved this) there are still signs of Sesshomaru proposing to Rin, like the Inuyasha Final Episode... Sesshomaru still visiting Rin and gives her a kimono and do you know giving a kimono is a way of courtship in Japan????? and admit it or not but you can only see Sesshomaru's fear and sympathy if there's something bad happen to Rin. Despite his hatred to human, he slowly changed and Rin is the first and only human he accept in his life :)

This is only audio drama called "Asatte" which consist of 5 track in it. Some said, that there will be upcoming movie for this. But who knows until they announced. lol We need more Rumiko! WOW, I wasn't trying to stalk you or anything- but its good to bump into you again. A lot of fans hate the movies and say their not cannon, but think about, it RT designed the human form of Inu no Tasho herself just for the 3rd movie - she held some weight on the making of the movies. As for Sesshoumaru's Confession. Yes she didn't write it - but she officially approved for it to be released. To me that means she sat down and read the story and its plot - fully understanding the story and its meaning. To me, the fact that she officially approved it, means that she must of liked the story and felt it would make an good epilogue scene to the series. Why fans argue this so much confuses me. A lot of the father/daughter fan's say that it has to be father/daughter relationship or else its Lolicon, or child grooming, or pedophilic. I truly don't understand this POV. Sesshoumaru was never fatherly to Rin. Sesshoumaru never lusted after child Rin - nor did he groom her to be sex slave. As an child he was just her protector. They coupled up when she grew up. I think that people that call it Lolicon or pedophilic - their the ones with an perverted mind to think such things in the first place. Here on youtube if you look up a video of Sess/Rin the first comment is either " Oh, Sesshoumaru is an great dad!" or "How pedophilic!". I'm so sick and tired of seeing these type of comments! I wrote on essay to express my frustrations on DeviantArt .

I never understood the whole RinxKohaku, even after watching final act. After re-watching episode 80 and 81 they kind of give me the whole Stockholm syndrome vibe. (Stockholm syndrome is a condition that causes hostages to develop a psychological alliance with their captors as a survival strategy during captivity.[1] These feelings, resulting from a bond formed between captor and captives during time spent together. Reference: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stockholm_syndrome). I know Kohaku didn't kidnap Rin personally, Kagura did. It doesn't make is any less true that Kohaku was holding her imprisoned. I like the whole child Rin and protector Sesshoumaru vibe. After listening to the whole Cd drama I am so happy to heard that Sesshoumaru loves her back and wants to be with her when she's older.
