Thanks for reviewing this. Been wanting to add a CW to my collection this year, and this model hit all the right notes for me. Almost like a better priced Tudor BB 36
That’s absolutely the most direct comparison.
I've been buying Christopher Ward watches for the last 12 years, or so. My first was a C8 traditional type A pilot watch. The most recent a C63 Sealander. In between I 've purchased another four or five. They all share an unusual level of accuracy, , high quality materials, and uniformly excellent build quality. I own examples of several other brands but I'd put my faith in the quality of a Christopher Ward above any other brand.

Just picked up the 38mm sandhurst on bracelet...absolutely stunning watch.
How have you liked the watch so far? I am obssesed with the sandhurst in bronze but the dune also speaks to me! I currently have a seiko 5 snkl45 for a black dial and I think the sandhurst would be more special and different than the dune. But also, I have a lorier safari with the salmon/copper dial and for some reason I think it would be a bit similar to the copper one
They have released so many watches with slight variations that I actually can't decide which one I like the most. The Cranwell, Sealander or dune would look very good next to my Dartmouth.
I like the "white sand" dial version of this watch ♥

Update: My watch arrived yesterday and it looks even better than the pictures. The c65 Dune is a watch that you have to see in person to really appreciate all the little details. It looks phenomenal. 10/10 would recommend. CW has done it again 🔥

@@sage9743 I have the black dial and I love how versatile it is. I can wear it basically anywhere with anything. But the sand dial is extremely nice too so it's a tough choice. You can't go wrong though with either!
The more I see of Christopher Ward watches, the more I like them. Stunning value. Still leaning towards the Sealander C63 in black. Even more versatile than this one I think...
I'm fortunate to own Omega, Cartier, Grand Seiko, and others. CW is really good - genuinely so!
Pull the trigger on the 63. I have one and it’s a better value and size than my Aquaterra. It’s really that good.

The bronze version of this, blue dial, caught my eye. I have a Christopher Ward, so I know their watches are well built. I've been considering the Black Bay 58 bronze for a while, which has almost the same dimensions and specs; the CW is now tempting. I like the BB58, but I'm not sure it's worth the 3x price premium.
I have the GMT version of the Dune, it’s a fantastic watch I’m so pleased with it. The size, build quality and finishing, 56 hour power reserve and other specs, the quality of the bracelet, fantastic lume and the crystal is one of the best I’ve seen.
I’ve had a BB36 and I would say there is no discernible difference quality in quality between that and the Dune, particularly bearing in mind they run the same movement. With the CW you get extra features like the date, tool free micro adjust and, in my case, GMT function.
Great video; great watch. CW is killing it with all the latest releases. Live the tan and the blue colors of this model.

Fantastic looking watch, man oh man Christopher Ward is absolutely killing it! Now which to go for the smaller C63 or the C65 Dune? I own the Tudor BB36 and love it so I know the 36mm is a great size.
Christopher Ward are the best brand at the moment. Beautiful designs, great quality and a price that can’t be beaten. Who else punches harder in the same category?
I have the C65 Sandhurst 1, COSC certified, and it is one of my most accurate watches. Also it is an officially recognized homage to the Smiths W10 by the British department of defense and is built with an exceptional quality. I love it.
.... the Sandhurst Series 1 is a stunning watch but the rotor rattle is somewhat annoying but I gather that is normal ........ much better handset than the second series .......
I have a c63 gmt and I wear it in rotation frequently.

That blue strap is from the c65 aquitaine bronze cosc. And I can tell you that it’s one of my favorite watches from a look and feel standpoint. A wonderful wearing watch even when compared to GS, Tudor (and it’s big brother) or Omegas. Not only great value but just great period.
Great review. I own the C65 Dune in Marine blue with the bracelet. Absolutely one of my favorites. Will be looking to purchase the C63 Sealander in Hunter Green in the near future!

Sometimes the design quirks from CW are too much for me (logo, font, trident) but this one is just a beauty.
Evidently the flag logo was on legal hold for years, hence the printed CW name. Now everything will be the twin flags

If you don’t mind I want to suggest you be more precise when measuring the watch, for example lug to lug or diameter. The way you incline the gauge affects hugely the measure! ( don’t want to be perfectionist but using an electronic gauge the wrong way is a paradox )

I think my next watch will be a CW. The quality looks (on videos and in pictures) amazing for the price. How do they compare to say Tudor? I know CW sell direct to keep costs down.

Love this watch and planning on getting it in the bronze COSC variant with a blue dial.
That looks very nice, but it pales in comparison to the sand coloured dial - that one is watch porn!
The red lettering distracts from the flow of the dial and kills the overall look for me. Everything else looks great.

Question, why is the logo not raised on your C65 dune? On the webpage all the dial colors have all indexes raises expect the writing by 6' o clock, no?

Christopher Ward is far from being a micro brand, can’t believe you Would even think that, they have out grown that title
Their customer service hasn't. Check out their Reddit and reviews online. I ordered a GMT limited edition and quickly cancelled it due to these reviews. Their management had a change (CW stepped down) and the whole brand seems to be falling. Hope they survive and get their rep back.

I've ordered a C65 Dune GMT LTD Edition pal only last week. However trying g to contact CW regarding availability etc is a night mate atm?! I've rung there customer services number over and over again to no avail? I've selected all the options too on the phone? Then I've emailed them several times.with my queries after they've already took my money out! And I'm still waiting for a reply back?! 🤔

This one just doesn't do anything for me. I guess in the same way the Tudor BB 36/39 never has either. I'm definitely going to get a CW in the very near future and at this point I'm leaning towards the C65 Sandhurst or C65 Cromwell. But honestly, there's more than just those 2 I like.

*****PETITION FOR DUNE GMT RE RELEASE***PREFEREBLY NON LIMITED** I missed out twice and frankly am annoyed. It's by far the best looking releases from the company since the aquataine. If it wasn't limited, the design would go on to sell a lot more watches. Sure, the standard is nice. But cmon. I NEED A gmt dune. Reasons. It's more ledgable than the aquataine. It has a night and day separation unlike the aquataine. Seeing the design split up is much better to read. I am really not sure why they didn't think more about having 500 releases instead of just 200. Like cmon. Or even 350 300. I'm pretty sure noone will mind right. It's still very limited!

Making the Sinn 556 look ridiculously expensive. I’m aware that this is a field watch and Sinn identify the 556 as a pilot watch… in terms of GADA, Sinn’s pricing has gotten silly.

Thank goodnessssss they no longer use the name. I so hate all the watches with people's names. Dan Henry, Christoper Ward, Sargento Pamigiani, whatever. A cool logo is much better. The CW logo is very nice.

Let's be honest: this is a well executed watch, but there is nothing "amazing" or "outstanding" in the design. It's a very conservative, unoriginal design. Does that make it a bad watch? Not necessarily, but there isn't anything groundbreaking with this watch.

Ooooh... that looks so cheap. Worst color version. The new logo does not stand out, and the curvature of the glass imposed by the combination of the flag of Switzerland and the flag of England gives the impression of not very aesthetic. Unbelievably, the brushed surface on the top does not add any elegance to this watch. It gets lost in the crowd and at a price that includes hidden import tax on purchase. See what Swatch Group or other macro brands are offering up to $1,000. CW tries to be Tudor, but not with this design and quality.
