I’ll say this…. Once you get one you never go back! Having a kayak is crucial to getting on to some of those smaller lakes and rivers and those hard to get spots. I only kick myself now for waiting years and years before buying my first one a couple years ago. Haha
Thanks for the video. I bought an F10 3 months ago. Put a 55lb trolling motor on the back. I ended up removing the riser and swivel for the seat. Made it so the seat sat alot lower. Feel a hell of a lot more stable now.
Love my F10 for smaller waters! I’ve thought about lowering the seat but never did do it for reasons I really don’t know (probably just lazy). If the F10 did a better job of tracking (without a trolling motor or rudder system) I’d say it’s one of the best kayaks ever!
I have an Ascend 10T, and recently fished with a buddy who had picked up the Ultimate. With TWO guys on his Ultimate, he was WAY more stable than me alone on my Ascend 10T.... Really got me thinking of upgrading.
I really wish they would stock some walleye or crappie in that lake. Caught my largest largie out of that lake last year so no complaints in that department from me.
There are definitely some nice largemouth in that lake, I’d agree there! I did also hear that some walleye exist in there too but I’ve never caught any. Crappie are far and few in between too it seems like which sucks. I also know it gets hit pretty hard by folks on the regular (mainly for crappie) so I’m sure that’s not helping a ton.
Yeah to be honest I really just stopped using any holders for the paddle at this point.. felt like it was more in the way than necessary. When I have the trolling motor going, I’ll just lay the paddle down next to me and it sits good between my seat and a rod tube holder. Keeps it out of the way much better!
I’m not sure how well the new U10 is, but I had the F10 before and it was absolutely NOTHING compared to the unlimited in terms of stability. I heard the U10 is pretty good though!

Id remove the yak attack paddle holders and just use the clip in ones included in the side handles. Just snap the paddle in

Was the kayak already prewired through the back?
Yep bought it like that. Just had to replace the front plug though! Got a little too loose and wouldn’t power
