I owned N6181X (a ‘99 B Hull, 914 turbo) from 1999 through 2003. Loved it. Went to visit Kerry Richter down at their old facility in Florida for a week,, exactly 21 years ago this Month - receiving a 5 day thorough and intense (but fun) checkout, then a few weeks later took a one way Commercial flight out to San Luis Obispo, paid for my new (to me) SeaRey and flew her back across the country to northeast Connecticut - about as far as one can go across this great country, at a leisurely 85 mph and never above 3500 feet AGL. It took six and a half days and my greatest aviation memory.
Hello from Sydney wishing you all the best to make this great idea a success 🚀this type of flying is very underrated when in reality it’s the best adventure of flight there is.👍👌😃
Jesus, $179 hr wet solo & $214hr dual . In my 8000+ hrs I never paid anywhere remotely close to that for a 172. May as well just buy your own searey at these prices.
For a freshly rated seaplane pilot, for what it costs to insure an individually owned SeaRey annually, you could fly the No Limits SeaRey for about 100 hours a year. That’s just insurance, never mind maintenance, fuel, hangar, and cost of capital to purchase a SeaRey. Way way better than owning one. I’m an original St Louis NLFC member and very happy with the club
@@frankcanfly I insure a searey and a 206 amphib. you clearly didn’t read the title, “ where you can rent a searey for 172 money, $214hr is not 172 money. Anyone paying that for a 172 is a Jackass.

As a SeaRey owner I can only encourage this endeavour. This little plane has changed my way of flying.... Flying is now fun!!!
Having owned a Searey for a dozen years, I can say I still love it and am glad to see your company out there. Best of luck.

Absolutely awesome way to fly 👍🏻
Sounds like a GREAT deal........if you’re a Searey instructor !!!
Flying/ sailing a SeaRey is on my aviation bucket list. "Travels With Puff" by Richard Bach is a great read about ferrying his home from Florida.
What is the biggest waves that the Searey can handle landing in? Is it capable of landing on swells and is that part of training?
I’m in the San Francisco Bay Area, would love to participate if you start a flying club in our area.
😎
Is there a link to a website for this?

These wheels look dangerous. Can you take them off?
Does anybody know who is flying a SeaRey over St. Lucie County Florida?
Check Flight Radar 24 when it's overhead, get the tail number, look up the tail number.

That's what it costs to rent a decent 172 nowadays
