Merry Christmas!
One the first day of Christmas Cookie gave to me a Capercaille in a pear tree
@Kristian-z7gsome of the biggest penguin populations are Australia and South Africa
Them prints looks like a wild cat or some other species of cat, possibly linx! Well done guys
Still can save them, in India we only had 12 lions left in 1947 now there are over 700
Yep. And In Warnambool, Australia, we had only *2* penguins left but now we have a steady population of over 200!!!!
Good job, Indians. I never even knew India had lions, tigers, obvcourse I knew.
@DontCareL0LGO Australia!!! Never even knew Australia had penguins, aren't they Arctic animals!? How do they survive in Australia?
@@IIIHAYWIREIIIsome are arctic, some are not. Also Australia has got islands un the arctic region
@user-ie6jr4bg1w Oh, very interesting thanks, my ma n da grew up with two friends who moved to Australia (sydney) and they visited us one time here in Scotland and they gave me a shot of camel s.... vodka (won't insert the word that comes after camel but u probably know what I mean lol)
In 1945 my great great Grandfather left the house to get a pint of milk. He got into his Opel Olympia and was never seen again. I know it’s off topic, but I feel it’s relevant somehow…
What about that car he found? Did your great great grandfather live in Scotland?
Do you think he left to live with the wildcats?😅
Hi son
Really appreciate your dedication. You've also highlighted how depressingly little remains of our biodiversity in the UK. Keep up the good work.
As a child we stayed in the gatehouse of an estate at Newtonmore. I opened the shed door to get some firewood. When I opened the door a wildcat jumped at me and jumped over my shoulder. Not sure who was more terrified. We subsequently saw it on a few more occasions. I was 10 years old so 1976. I love your films and channel - and your passion and enthusiasm.
The cats were licking their arses and laughing at the youtuber in day glow stomping through the forest shouting at a camera lol.
I have seen a Lynx in scotland, on the shores of Kinlochlevenabout twenty years ago while driving at night, I had two people in the car with me that confirmed it was a large cat also the guy and his wife driving the other way who pulled up next to me begging to know if I had seen it too, short stubby tail and tufts on ears clearly defined in headlights of oncomming car, about the size of a medium dog, it cleared the three quarters left of the road in one leap,,, amazing to see
What a beautiful video cookie really enjoyed it mate and what a stunning bird and scottish wild cat at the end like they say beautiful endings.
I loved this-I was gripped on edge; to see whether you saw any of these elusive animals!!!
"And this is where it lives" Why you gotta doxx lil homie like that 😭
Old motor looked like a 1940's Opel Olympia.
Such a beautiful area! The light in the forest is amazing. Thank you.
There was a small one in my garden in this area, i didn't realise they were that rare
Capercaillie, the sideways attacker 😅 ive only ever saw one, jumping across a road into a field.
Great video!
I got so excited at the wild cat, and it's not cheating in my eyes, love the channel 🎉
Love this video mate been a long time follower , merry Christmas!
I remember this video from before...but still awesome to review
I just found you, actually. I look forward to seeing what you get up to. I'm really looking forward to this episode.
That bird is like a british turkey 😂😂😂
What a great production.
That red deer skull was so cool man i would have had that:)
Merry Christmas mate! Let’s hope more wild cats get introduced into England
Absolutely brilliant, well done!
Welcome to the Highlands bud! Pain and suffering is a given here
😁
Great video the ending made me so happy
What a rollercoaster! nice one dude!
Amazing that wee newspaper scrap has lasted all these years in our weather
Well, well, well. Who would have known Janet Street-Porter had a point?
It looks quite big! lol I never thought they were that big
Cmon, man like big cooks
In Warnambool, Australia, we had *only 2* penguins left but now we have a steady population of over 200!!!! Conservation is still possible!!!!
We had wildcats in Yorkshire in the 80s we used to call them pit cats due to them hanging around the collieries and woodland
I picked one up on a beach on Shetland when I was 3, Mad animal person still) My uncle was mad/worried and told my parents there were very wild ,and dangerous if picked up or cornered I'd great fun with the monster car , 😅
That bird was fuckin' awesome Cookie!! Wild Cat, what a capture! Thanks M8. John.
Remember when I was a kid camping in Arran one came into the caravan awning where I was sleeping and raided the bin
Well done mate.
Lol first you see a hare and think its a lynx lol then u speculate a black bird is a gus hawk lol then u guys find a kill and speculate its a Golden Eagle 🦅 lol 😂 the speculation is off the charts lol 😆 great vid !
Wow that car is from the 30s indeed. Wild.
Great video mate, keep going
It’s definitely some species of Orb-weaver, and a large one for the UK at that.
Like your energy. Keep it up
Looks like a photo I've seen of a 1936 Opel Olympia
Loved the vid hope you had a great Christmas
One animal I would like to see on this channel are Gyr Falcons
Absolutely awesome mate. 👌🏻
There's a place in scotland witch is mod owned and private theres a few wild cats
only one i ever saw alive as a trainee gamekeeper was on glen prosen estate in angus ,caught in an underkeepers fox snare line round a sitka plantation . i was a 16yo trainee and i saw the underkeeper club it to death with a rotten branch and then was made to skin it so the head could be made into a snarling sporran . the head keeper who still works there i believe can easily be seen out shooting protected raptors and the underkeeper/beat keeper may have moved on but the crimes against raptors including owls, buzzards , otters will still be ongoing today .
I've liked and subscribed. Love your channel
brave bird ngl
Typical for a cat. You probably were close to cats in the areas were they were supposed to be, but they heard you coming and left. Cats are so much easier to see if you can find a good spot and just wait. That Capercallie was probably guarding young or a mate hence chasing you off.
And this is what UA-cam is for
I love it
bro been looking for a house cat
1 minute ago! Can’t believe I’m the first to your video! I’ve been a fan of yours for ages. Keep up the good work!
Big love, thank you
What a treat ♡
Used get them on borders and Northumberland durham maybe some were hybrids with feral cats but most were dug with terriers and killed to save game birds
Love this ❤️💯
I saw one 30 years ago
Brilliant! Do all wildcats look that grumpy? lol... I swear i saw one when i was near culzean castle as a teenager, i was on the beach looking at caves and gullies and a cat jumped across a gap above me, and hissed at me, it also looked grumpy, i always told folk and no one believed me, perhaps it was just a domestic, but maybe not, it has that same look of distain in its eyes lol
and the spider is a cross orbweaver, not that rare found all over uk, especially good for getting a face full of web around September time usually
Skills mate 🫡
Nice one mate 💚
5:48 - I’ve been trying to learn more about prints - my money is on some type of cat:
- as you said, no obvious claw marks
- u-shaped negative space in the print (rather than an a more x-shape for dogs/foxes)
- one toe protrudes further
- asymmetry
Hard to pick out other features, like size of & lobes on the heel pad, due to melting
may God be with you
We have them in North wales
Very cool video
5:40 definitely a cat print
Epic
You do not remove items like antlers from National Parks. Leave them for others to appreciate and for small mammals to work their teeth on the antlers.
That car is on a road way / driving path.
The spider is an orb wever
It's not even our only wildcat we have Kellas cats too.
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kellas_cat
Angry birds lol he’s not happy
There also thousands of Scottish Wildcat-feral cat hybrids known as Kellas Cats roaming the Scottish wilderness. I have a video on them here, ua-cam.com/video/lf-7BlhDjJY/v-deo.htmlsi=1UpksCoKIc006Mke
They're all over the UK...big cats too...in every forest n woodland...fact
Over 3k for Binoculars crazy
The wildcats probably likes the capa kaley (?) yummy.
unicorns ... national animal of Scotland .... he hee
Britain's only Wildcat? I dont think so.
you could at least elaborate
He didn't MEAN literally Britain's only wild cat. Like that was the only one. It's the only native wild species of cat in Britain, more like. Should of been clearer on that. Perhaps. So some people don't misunderstand.
He was being literal
Tbf, it wouldn’t surprise me if some folks “experimental” lynx inventories have sone “inconsistencies” in their record keeping.
@@mlam3988 Yes He was being literal, but I don't think he meant to be. He should of been more specific.
Anyone thought that the wild cat is eating the birds?
It is in Scotland would it kill you to say that? This video is a great ad for independence
Think the fox had a squirrel
Maybe that was a lynx you seen 😂😂
I did a live stream about this a few days ago - this area where I thought I saw that is a few hundred meters away from the recent stuff 🤯🤯
The car was dumped in the 60s after the driver taking too much LSD.
Theres alot of them in this area, theres 2 classic minis near me and 1 or 2 few miles away, i think people used too steal them and then ditch them in the woods after they had thier fun haha
Its a opel olympia btw
OK I commented before you said
im not sure how i feel about this, are they supposed to be wild or are they homeless struggling out there?
Wouldn’t a big part of finding these animals be discretion, quietness and light footedness. You may say “go
do it yourself”, but I fish so I already do in my own respective way. Just saying.
Slow down on camera rotations buddy or alternatively speed up camera to process images properly.
Scotland rarest Animal
you can't park there mate.
That is cat track
Why the hell can’t humans leave them alone.
It doesn't exist just domestic cats turned wild .its a
pest
Chap @30.10.. now that is wildcat stand and Capercaillie territory..😮😊. Best wishes with your quest. But forestry plantations are sterile environments. Scotts pine natural forests afford best chance of seeing native fauna wildlife. 🙏. Happy to have discovered your channel plus had no idea badgers had crossed the Scottish great glen highland geological fault.🫡👍
That’s a small dog
❤🤍🖤
Its not a scottish wildcat its a uk wildcat . It was all over the uk until hunted to near extinction
People won't like this but. Our wildlife in England is pretty shit . The most dangerous thing to worry about is an xl bully or a human. This is why I like invasive species I want to be abit sceard out in the wildiness.
You had wolves and bears but you drove them to extinction, you would have been scared in the wilderness if they were still present.
Yep I wish I was as interested in the wildlife in Britain as I am in the wildlife in Australia. We do have two impressively large eagle species in the UK but that's about it..
The wildlife of England is epic. It includes naturalised melanistic leopard, puma and lynx. This is fact 👍🏻
@Outta_Towna narrr It's shit
@shubhamsawant3222 yeah but they are not. Worst we have is a badger or a fox
MERRY CHRISTMAS from TEXAS!
cool video, since you're in Scotland, could you find Nessie?
Merry Christmas! Nessie is opening presents currently 😂
False widow. They like wood. If you have a wooden garden fence or shed you will get plenty of them
Nope this is a araneus diadematus aka garden spider
Pine Martins are well established around Rothiemurchus and alvie Estates. Sure they'd take a cluckercaillie 😊.far as wildcats for filming i recommend Kingussie wildlife park, thoroughly 😊. 😁🫡
