I didn't know that the first monomial couldn't be negative and solved it as ( -2x+1) (3x+2), is that acceptable? why or why not? Thank you for your videos!

I see that you factored out a -1 but why did you factor? Couldn't you just have used your same process as in example 1 but factored out a -2x?
