For me this is the most stunning episode of the series.
Yes amazing up there....
HOW CAN ANYONE NOT LIKE THIS VIDEO !!
Greetings from “flatland” Florida..what a motorcyclist’s dream. I actually got butterflies when you were on the descending part of the ride. Absolutely stellar!!!!
Excellent, glad you liked it.....and thanks for stopping by!
Wow absolutely stunning. The trollstigen must be one of the most spectacular rides anywhere.
Yes I think it's up there with them yes...
A truly staggering episode, Breathtaking and mesmerising. Well worth the ride out and the sandwich break. Cracking set of snaps too..
Glad you enjoyed it!
That view of the waterfall as you ride down is simply gob smacking ! you certainly are..... a lucky fella!
Indeed, the best bit of riding I've done so far I think (as far as spectacularishness goes)
I’ve only discovered your videos in the last few weeks as I’m about to get an R1250GSA. I’ve watched all this series to episode 9, and they’re absolutely brilliant.
Informative, lighthearted, and really stir the wanderlust - thanks so much for sharing your adventures.
Really is my pleasure Steve!
From Aalesund you should have rode a bit east and towards Geiranger. you wold get 3 mountain passen along the way. One one the way in, and another one on the way out, and a third one down Strynefjellet. Absolute gems.
Yes we did have the option to do an excursion to Geiranger but at the time I was knackered! Maybe next time....thanks for watching.
@@TheMissendenFlyerI see I see. currently studying in Aalesund so i do take some trips in the weekends and evenings. Really epic when there's no tourists and you have the roads almost by yourselves. Love your videos, and looking forward getting this semester and do some touring in the summer.
wow. awesome video. thanks for all the effort, so we can enjoy. beautiful Country.
My god what a beautiful landscape.
James Batten s
Your videos have motivated me to get my thumb out my Arskog and took delivery of my new R1200GS yesterday, Unlike with the last GS I had, this time I am going to do some touring around South Africa, from the Drakensburg mountains down to Cape Town and through the Kalahari Desert, your videos have inspired me to get out there and experience the world as it should be done... on the best selling bike in the world - (and for so many good reasons!) - . Looking forward to the rest of the series and scenery. Safe riding!
Wow! That Pass was absolutely awesome...I have to do that! 🏍🍺🇿🇦👍
You should!
Best video yet. I live in Australia and even though there are fantastic motorcycling roads here I never feel like I’ve really been too far away due to the monoculture here. You are very lucky to be able to have this within riding distance. Thanks for sharing your holiday and I’m glad you did this diversion.
Yeah so am I Steve - thanks for watching and for the kind words - TMF
Great viewing. Thanks for taking the time to put it together.
Thanks for taking the time to watch Penny!
Wow! Thank you for that. I now know where paradise is. Excellent video. And I thank you kindly for sharing your adventure. Be safe out there.
Thank you very much - and send my regards to Savannah (it's been a long time since I visited there!)...
Absolutely stunning. One of the best mototravel series ever if not the best. Highly recommended to watch on a big TV screen. And it makes Norway the no. 1 travel destination in the near future. 👍👍
Blimey - that's quite something, thank you...
Simply stunning! Really appreciate all your efforts in producing these incredible videos.
Gorgeous nature...mountains always look dramatic and impressive.
Even more dramatic when you're there - the GoPro tends to flatten landscapes.....
Yeah. I've been to our Canadian Rockies (mountains - peaks up to over 3000 m) a couple of times, so I can relate. I'd like to do it on my bike, but it's 3400 km one way just to reach the mountains....so perhaps when I retire :-)
Stunning landscapes. Genuinely epic. On a motorcycle, the only way to see it.
I agree....or by light aircraft...
Dirigible
Its great to get home Friday afternoon from work and watch this.( Australia).
Wow - I love the Internet, I’m still in bed on Friday morning! (Man flu)....
I watched your whole series of the tour in Norway with great interest (we were there in September of this year) and did many of the same things, albeit we didn’t get as far north as the arctic circle. You do a tremendous job of showcasing g the natural beauty that Norway has. It truly is one of the most beautiful places we have been (and we have been fortunate to travel most of Europe, and most all of Canada and the USA. Thanks for the wonderful reminders. I can hardly wait to watch your other adventures. I had originally searched for bike vids of this route, but then went back and watch the entire series based on the quality of this edition. Cheers and keep riding
Good stuff - glad you liked it John! All the best - TMF
Big fan of TMF, Just fantastic video footage. I am away from home with work this weekend and I watch a number of these in series and it’s just brilliant. They would give the Long way round and down a run for the money. Compulsive viewing cannot wait for the next one, please give Joanna more acknowledgement what a lady. Reminds me of my Mother. Rode my 750 at age 72, a good number of years ago. She had a Vespa in Ireland in 1951, lots of men would not speak to her. Thank god things have changed. Norway as someone else said is on the bucket list.
Wow!!!.... what a fantastic video tmf.....stunning sceanery and waterfalls. Brilliant. What a touch with the fog clearing!! Cheers Mark.👍👍😆😆
Lucky again eh!?
@@TheMissendenFlyer yeah very!!!..... did you do lottery ticket aswell???!!!... lol
No but perhaps I should have done.....
Really enjoying these magnificent Norway videos!
Cheers!
Another gem of a Motorcycle vlog, wow. You do a great service for our country! Some tourism price must certainly be due your way soon 😀
Cheers SB - your country doesn't need any help from me, what a place!
Wow, this part of Norway just blew me away! Great video TMF, incredible landscape!!
30 minutes felt like 5 minutes watching, say no more. Brilliant!
Very kind of you thank you...stay tuned, a few more to come...
Great to see the real Norway. Had to watch the video again.
Without a doubt TMF is the best motovloger on UA-cam! Another amazing video. Thank you!
I don't know about that Owen but thanks very much anyway!
All those amazing views, and I spent most of the time looking at your bloody sat nav.
...hilarious!
Epic mountain pass. Trolstagen was a great time 👍
Looks stunning. Thanks for sharing your adventure 😊
Thanks for joining me!
Definitely going on my bucket list. Absolutely stunning & not too shabby with the commentary 😁👍
Thanks
One word: Bloomin' stunning!
Cheers (and it was!)...gets even better next week!
Impressive ferry systems, great landscapes, great roads, and oh, great video too! Thanks TMF!
Thank you for watching!
Stunning. That was a holiday video I enjoyed watching.
Thank you Paul!
Fabulous footage, was a real treat to see this episode! Don't you just love the engine breaking from the flat twin boxer when descending those mountain passes, really saves the brakes! Cheers.
...I do indeed, the big ol' Beemer is great at this sort of touring....
Damn Norway is great.. I was riding there 4 years ago and really want to go there again... To bad you did'nt go to Geiranger and Dalsnibba.. That is also two very beautiful places.. we came from Trollstigen towards Geiranger and saw it from above driving down... Just amazing.. If you ever go back do NOT miss thoose places.
I had to choose between Trollstigen or Geiranger - at least I have something to go back for!
Amazing scenery. Thank you
Thank you for watching!
Thanks TMF for another great video and amazing views!! Definitely a place to visit!! Safe travels and keep it up!!
Stunning stuff. Richie Vida: "arr so that's what it looks like when it's not raining"
Hehe 😁 exactly, Richy was hard done on his decent through the pass 😱
My goodness...Ever since I saw your screen saver and commented on it some time ago I have been waiting for this video of the Trollstigen pass and it didn't disappoint. Truly breath taking, the weather turned out perfect and the clouds hovering over the mountain peaks was fabulous. Many thanks for sharing this epic ride.
Thanks for watching Dave - I hope it was worth the wait!
"It's just like Glencoe with knobs on". Haha!
Spectacular roads and scenery and a nicely measured commentary as always. Thanks, TMF 👍
Cheers Keith - always appreciate your support!
Breathtaking, TMF, absolutely stunning! Thank you!
Thanks for watching and for stopping by! All the best - TMF
Love every episode. Trollstigen Pass looks stunning. Looking forward to next week.
Another fabulous episode TMF, well done Sir. Agree, bikes with trailers.....what the heck's that all about!
...beats me...
Thanks TMF for the hard work you put in producing these vids, they're brilliant. Thank you 👌👍
You're very welcome....
Stunning scenery ... like the Swiss Alps turned up to 11 😉
Thanks for posting. What a great experience!
Sure was....
Very good TMF. Another great episode in this series, especially the spectacular Troll' Pass of course. Agree with you that 'pins are much easier to negotiate going down than up.
Couldn't wait until evening. Absolutely stunning!! Great riding. I have to comment about trailers and motorcycles. We were scheduled to go to Germany in 2017 for our 30th wedding anniversary tour and I decided to have a trailer built for the FJR. The purpose was to save time when changing hotels. Even with a trailer connected to the bike, it would still have been tons better than being in a car. No comparison. Obviously when there is two of you there's more to take but also we like to bring back souvenirs for family and friends. This video is yet another fabulous addition to the series!
Thank you Paul!
Wow, some truly stunning views captured here, TMF. Beautiful!
Cheers Ben - thanks for watching.....
Just Breathtaking Landscape , Beautifully shot video BTW , just watched one of RichyVida's Vlogs on The Lakes and whilst his are also entertaining to watch i couldn't help but notice how much Clearer and Stable yours are ,So Great Work Mr Flyer
Thanks very much John, purely by chance I can assure you (I know Rich puts far more thought into his filming than most)....
Stunning stunning stunning.thank you
Thanks for watching and for stopping by! All the best - TMF
Thanks for uploading. Yep, great views and great country. I did the Trollstigen Pass in September/October (can't remember exactly) 1985 on a BMW R80RT with my wife on the back. I had no idea that it would be snowing at the top of the pass. We wondered why there was no traffic! Had to push my bike for about a mile because the snow was too deep. Didn't think we would make it at one point. Didn't find out till later that we were actually the last vehicle over the pass before it was closed for the winter. (Don't know if they still close it during the winter). Got back to Oslo and my Norwegian motorcycling friends said that we were crazy!
It's great to live vicariously through your videos. Can't wait to see Bergen on the next upload!
Thanks a bunch.
Excellent story - thanks for sharing....and yes, a bit of a tour of Bergen in the next instalment - stay tuned!
We were there last christmas in a car I must add and wanted to do the pass but were told it was closed due to too much snow. I admire your tenacity pushing the bike for a mile through thick snow however!
They still close the road during winter
kiwiflyguy And this is the reason why they close the Trollstigen Pass every winter season ... ;)
ua-cam.com/video/cpzG7jyPjk8/v-deo.html
Excellent trip around the Trollstigen and on towards Bergen. Those ferrys seem very efficient, this hs to be a must trip at some point. :-)
WOW! Just fantastic video on the Trollstigen. I am planning a Norway tour next year with Edelweiss and this road is part of the tour. Would be a huge bonus to get that weather you did after the lunch stop. Norway looks just absolutely incredible! John
Yes we were sooo lucky.....
My vertigo was in overdrive watching you go down that pass!
Norway keeps delivering, superb !👍
It sure does - what a country for the motorcyclist eh?
And retirement 👍😉
Amazing scenery coupled with the deep base notes of big twin beemer. Great quality especially when watching on the large screen tv.
Great stuff Roger - it's amazing how these tiny GoPro's produce good enough quality to watch on the big screen isn't it...
When there are people in this world (Yemen) that are living in a total state of hell, you sir are blessed and so are those of us that ride along with you. Thanks.
Very very true - does us good to be reminded of that occasionally....thanks
wow....Norway is at the top of my list! Just wow...Thank you sir! Great episode!
Thanks for watching!
Awesome just awesome! Definitely in the diary for next year, you were lucky with the weather over the richy vida Trip!
Wasn’t I just!
Fantastic, wish I could go. You’ve got teapot down to a tee. 😀
Uncanny isn’t it!
After just watching your two up Wales trip and gushing review of the Gold Wing I found the three minute berating of the guy with the trailer very amusing!! 😆
I´ve been watching this series the last 3 days. Love it. Im from the south of Norway and now I´m seriously considering doing that trip. Amazing. Cant belive your luck with the nice weather for your trip :-) That my friend, is not the norm.
I know Trond I was so lucky on this one - makes all the difference too - thanks for watching - TMF
Great photo shots with the Beemer, this is an amazing tour and as usual enjoying the viewing👍
Cheers Garry, glad you're enjoying it - a few more episodes to come yet....stay tuned!
Spectacular again TMF.
Thank you...(as ever)
TMF my Mrs has taken a liking to your road trips and is now looking at us doing something next year ,she says yes as long as it does not include a tent lol .Great pics and vids many thanx .
Nice one - perhaps you can get your people to talk to my people....
Good man TMF, spectacular scenery.
Thanks John....
Thankyou TMF for sharing that epic journey mate. The entire experience you had must have been magical. Awesome ride mate. Cheers
Jaw dropping, staggering views. Good Lord!! Wow.
That's what I thought when I was riding it!
EPIC! can't wait to do this tour.
I thoroughly recommend it....
Wow.......Just.......WOW.....My bucket list is filling up fast. I better get on it!You travel to some amazing places TMF.
Yes this one was special Frank for sure....do it if you can!
I was getting Vertigo just watching you ride those switchbacks. Amazing!
Wow, this series of yours is incredible, this ep looks beautiful.
Thank you - I think next week's is even better!
Considering retirement plans. Your videos are factoring into those . Awesome roads/views/adventures!
Absolutely BREATHTAKING!
Stunning views... im speechless!!
What a fantastic road, really enjoying this tour, looking forward to the next instalment.
what an amazing journey you have been on my friend. breath taking landscape and weather. ride safe and keep up the good work bud. Tony
Will do Tony - thanks for watching....
Hey, comment number 400 I think, win! Anyways, local here! Yes, they are salmon farms as commented further down as well, and also about the headlight. It is mandatory to keep your headlights on in Norway. In summer the only alternative to this is the combination of your park-lights and your front only foglights.
Currantly studying in Australia, Nice to see these videoes from home and your commentary on it!
I am also from the far, far north. Close to a town named Kirkenes. Far above the artic circle
Wow, Australia must be quite some change then! Thanks for watching and stopping by Sindre....
It is strange with eternal summer. Makes me want to get a motorcycle license! These videos of yours are very entertaining, Im subscribing!
Just bloody loving this tour! Great vids and what a fantastic country. TMF you have excelled yourself on this on!
Thanks Martyn, very kind of you to say so...
Another great video! Thanks for the effort you put in to making this!
You're very welcome Eirik!
Cracking episode!, those were the roads we were waiting for. Great landscapes. Steve
Another excellent episode, we’re really enjoying the series , cheers 👍
Amazing footage TMF!!
Thank you
Very Tolkienish ( If there is such a word) views, BRILLIANT as usual. Thank you.
Thank you!
Fantastic episode TMF! What great views!
Thanks Dave - what a country for motorcycling eh?
Scenery getting better and better, Trollstigen Pass awesome, amazing to think riders would bother with the likes of route 66 when we have such beautiful roads in Europe.
Exactly - can’t beat Europe on a motorbike, such a wide variety to explore!
Trollstigen is breathtaking.
Top video.
Thanks very much for the kind words - much appreciated!
Waiting for the HD review. :-)
Cheers.
So am I!
thank you so much for doing these great videos love them
Glad you like em Bob - thanks for watching....
A great place when it’s one of the warmest summers on record.
Very true...
Ps love your avatar!
Wonderful video in a wonderful series....'Nuff said!
Wonderful and inspiring video buddy, what a breath takingly beautiful place..
Isn't it just Del - you and Penny need to go on a road trip!
Already sent her the link to this at work.. got the Exploder now. full expedition luggage, so just the destination to choose..! Thanks again for the inspiration buddy..
@@TheMissendenFlyer I watched a lot of your videos and i love them, especially the "british" comments in em. I wondered if you could provide any tips on how to modify or improve comfort sitting on the seat for longer distances.
another great video and I especially enjoyed the Trollstigen ... which I managed to miss somehow!
probably because I was so keen to get up to the Lofoten
Whoops!
Really looking forward to seeing this tonight! Who needs the BBC etc!!
Great videos, and now you are entering an area with some of the greatest motorcycle roads in the world :-) When it comes to driving "Trollstigen" up or down my opinion is as follows (and I have been both ways several times); Both ways are great, but going down gives you the most "dramatic" and spectacular impressions.
Really, really good, you said it would get better and it has 👍👍👍
Layed up at the moment with a broken leg and ankle, so I’m rewatching all your your tour videos. You’re making me want to chop my S1000rr in for a GS .....
It happens to us all eventually!! Hope you get fixed up soon!
Wow, can’t believe this was 3 years ago. And here I am again 🤣
