Guilty Gear Xrd SIGN (Japanese: ギルティギア イグザード Hepburn: Giruti Gia Iguzādo?) is a fighting game developed by Arc System Works. The fifth installment of the Guilty Gear series, the game is a 2D fighting game. The game was developed using Unreal Engine 3, with cel shaded graphics in place of hand drawn sprites. It was released in arcades on February 20, 2014, and will be released for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 in Japan and North America in December of the same year.
The idea of creating a new Guilty Gear came in 2008, but production only started in 2011; in mid-2012, it progressed to a full scale production, concluding in 2013.[10] The first trailer for Guilty Gear Xrd SIGN was shown to the public during the annual Arc System Works Festival on May 19, 2013.[11] The trailer demonstrated the 3D cel shaded graphics-modeled by Softimage[10]-being used in place of 2D sprites and cel animation.[11] Development of the game was handled by an internal Arc System Works team codenamed "Team Red",[12] which consists of 25 members,[10] with series creator Daisuke Ishiwatari as the director.[12] Ishiwatari developed the game aiming to reach a wide audience and he plans to make Guilty Gear Xrd a new start on the franchise.[13]
The Unreal Engine 3 (UE3) was used because of its low price, the ease of non-programmers edit it directly and of porting it to home consoles.[10] A priority to Ishiwatari was to make it a cross-platform game so that PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 owners can play against each other.[12] Due to a small amount of time and budget, Ishiwatari had to choose which characters he preferred to enter the initial roster, with plans to expand it later.[12] Each character had to be rendered four times, and each scene had 160mb of textures and 70-80 different shaders on it.[10] The staff did not intended the characters to have physical accuracy, instead they wanted them as close as possible to anime style.[10] The natural lightings of backgrounds were also removed in order to remove shades from characters that made their polygon format evident.[10]
It was released in arcades on February 20, 2014,[14] on the Sega RingEdge 2 arcade board with support for the ALL.Net P-ras MULTI Ver.2 system,[15] as well as the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 on December 4.[16] The North American release by Aksys Games is set to occur on December 16, 2014.[17] - Ігри

As you can guess, there's lore behind that.

Faust is by far the oddest character I have ever seen in any fighting game. Well he might be on par with double from skullgirls but at least she didn't shove things up your butt.
I want to see faust fight valentine from skullgirls. Since they both have a wierd way of nursing people back to help. Faust is not more odd than bedman.

I don't really find Bedman that odd. I Probably think Faust is odd because I have a history of me going WTF while fighting Faust since guilty gear x2, so maybe that is why. But hey how many bizarre and balls to the wall characters are their in fighting games.

+Abdulaziz Al Saif No, the color of the reaper the opponent picks determines the damage from the super. Black the weakest, Green is the middle, and purple is the strongest. It's just a funny coincidence.
Everyone probably has different amounts of health.
***** Guts determines damage scaling as the characters health gets lower, which only factors when below 50%. But every character has a separate defense modifier on top of that determines how much damage they normally take from attacks.
***** Bedman and Potemkin have the same defense modifier, but Bedman has 0 Guts while Potemkin has 4. So Potemkin takes less damage than Bedman when below 50%.

Seems fun il check it out. But still they all share a similar theme of some sort. I like adding everything together and mix it up, then mess it the heck up!
I want characters like Peacock in Skullgirls, Faust and Bridget from Guilty Gear and them interacting with each other in a vast world with more plot on side issues like both having one target but arguing over who's taking the target. Or just screw plot and go filler with different characters meeting for different reasons and just have fun like when the crew just mess around in One Piece and not focusing on plot all the time
