Well played Sir, well played....😂😂 I was never a huge fan of the this version of the astra but it was a vast improvement over the Mark 4 Astra, I certainly enjoyed my Astra J that I owned for just over a year back in 2017.
Well done, Mr Watters! Unlike so many others, it doesn't look like you got caught out. Yes, the Astra Gs weren't bad at all, but in terms of the perceived quality these were a lot better, and the Astra Js were better still.
Well well well! I'm not really sure how to take this sir, the forbidden fuel sir! really sir! 😊 if you want to break your own rules sir who am I to argue! Always enjoy your reviews Mr Lloyd even if it's of a car with the fuel that should not be mentioned!
@@lloydvehicleconsulting well let's just say, once I realised the date I felt a little bit stupid sir, so we'll played and it was a very good review regardless of how ever it was powered.
Sir, perhaps it is the right time to share your knowledge of the forbidden fuel further, the major shouldn't stop us hearing about some of these interesting options? 🤞
@@lloydvehicleconsulting but now you've demonstrated a hidden knowledge, please share more, Rover 218 SLD turbo with a cream leather interior, yes please sir, 👍🤣
I am afraid, sir, that due to the Mayor of London and all his friends around the country with their Ultra Low Emission and Clean Air Zones, we don't talk about diesels on this channel...
@Lloyd Vehicle Consulting Oh yes and I enjoyed it all the same. The best diesel astra estate was the Astra F with the 1.7 izuzu engine. But we don't talk about those 😊
@@lloydvehicleconsulting Indeed I did sir. Your jokes are most clever and witty however perhaps you could take further inspiration from the “Fascinating Horror” channel, who just today treated us to a documentary about the 1972 Poseidon disaster and last year a video about the 1975 Amity Island shark attacks.
I wish we could have gotten this as the Saturn Astra; only 3 or 5 door, which was imported from Belgium. I really like this Astra Estate very much! But I wish it was ordered with heated seats!
Thanks for the review sir, that looks a very tidy Astra, the estates are very practical and spacious. I think I’d go for the 1.8 petrol version for a bit of power and smoothness while maintaining some economy at least. Shame on you for reviewing a Soot blowing version tut tut!! 😁😉
Sir, I hope that you checked the date of this upload before your comment, as it was a bit of a special day... Said forbidden fuel Astra cannot normally be discussed on the channel, of course.
@@lloydvehicleconsulting Sir I was just messing and by no means a serious criticism, it’s just my humour, I am aware it was a special hence the emojis following my comment 😉🙂
@Lloyd Vehicle Consulting I think a review on James's one would be amazing, purely because it's a Rover SD1 and because it's very rare from a historical point of view.
A very interesting specification on this MK5 Astra Sir! I don’t think I’ve seen one quite like it before. Looks like a miss-match of both low and high spec trim levels.
I'm eagerly awaiting a new "We don't talk about petrols on this channel" t-shirt.
It's not happening, sir! Did you see the date of the upload?

Very good, sir! We shall discuss said Astra F no further...
Can we perhaps rationalise this slight lapse into Forbidden Fuel territory as a subtle April Fool’s joke on your behalf sir?

D'oh!
Was a passenger in my friend's old Astra H once or twice. It felt rock solid and much safer than my Nissan Almera N16 I had at the time.
