I really enjoyed this video and was actually choking up through a lot of it. Close to tears while listening to the tune at the end! I know how I would feel, had I accomplished what you and your team has, Alistair. For me, it wouldn’t have been so much a sense of pride, just a great sense of realizing a dream come true. I got it when you walked into the viewing room and cried. I would have as well. What an amazing thing you’ve done here! Good on you, man!
Thank you! It's great to be able to take you on a virtual tour and show off what we have accomplished here at the factory for those who can't be here in person. Let's see where the next few years take us!
As a member of the 1st Emerald Tour, this brings back memories and makes me want to visit again….mostly to spend more time in this incredible factory and facility! it would help me decide on my next Emerald!
Emerald Guitars has put me into an especially vexing quandary since purchasing from them. Beyond their highly refined beauty of sound and appearance, I can tell from quality of materials and construction that the instruments are easily going to last far beyond my remaining years of life. So I wondered where to have the instruments re-homed when I die. I’ve decided the best place is at my alma mater to be made available for performance use by students at the University of North Texas School of Music and Performing Arts. I expect they will be put to good use there for decades, if not centuries, after my remains have throughly recycled into Earth’s biome.
A great idea for passing on your Emeralds when the time comes, I'm sure that the students will make great use of them for many years. Hopefully that's a long way away yet though!
I've been on a couple of other guitar plant tours, and this tour was by far a more enjoyable experience. You actually get to speak with the craftsman/artist who creates your dream ... in many cases, dreams. Also, you get to play any model you choose. It's funny you referenced "Smoke On The Water" in the players' room. I'm watching this video right after returning from seeing Deep Purple at Bethel Woods ... the hallowed grounds where Woodstock was held. Yes, they did play Smoke On The Water.
Thank you Thomas! It's been great to have so many wonderful guests through our doors to see everything that we put into crafting our instruments and the care and attention to detail that we lavish on each one. AND to welcome them to the players suite to try our full range of instruments! Hope you had a great time at Deep Purple! 😊
Watching this again for a second time, the new workshop is as brilliant in aesthetic design as it is in technical and purpose functionality. Its location, layout, acoustics…all superb, brimming innovation and efficiency. The crew all seems a happy lot, too. Simply brilliant. If I ever do make the long journey there to take a tour you might have a difficult time getting me to leave.
Very special video! I almost feel like I've been there now. The grounds are so well maintained outside and inside. I love the playing room and the style of the music they were playing, just so beautiful. This makes me want to buy another Emerald guitar! Lol. Such a personal touch. Thanks for sharing all of this with us!♡ Blessings from Georgia, USA.
I have a question for anyone who can answer it. I'm traveling to Vietnam in March to do some shows there and I'm curious if the Emerald case that came with my X20 is a good traveling case or if I need something additional. The standard case seems pretty substantial, but I've not traveled with it yet. So any suggestions or comments in this regard would be welcome.
Congrats on your upcoming trip! Your Emerald Hard case should be perfect for long distance travel, you can also get in touch with the team via email to sales@emeraldguitars.com for more info. Have a great trip!
Amazing video. Seeing the multitude of stages that go into the process of building one of these beautiful guitars was a real eye-opener. What a factory/showroom/player’s lounge!! Just waiting for my X20 to enter the shipping room and now I’m even more excited (if that’s possible).
Thanks for watching, great to show off our wonderful space and staff for the Emerald community that havn't seen it in person yet! Congrats on your new Emerald 😊
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed the Virtual tour and look forward to seeing you here in person some day! Maybe one of next year's Emerald Music Tours could be a good reason to join us for a week of music?
Wow man you da must be proud of what you have achieved. Very impressive...I will get one of your guitars with the hyvibe one day ... next time im back home in ireland perhaps...I like giving you ideas ....like selling footswitch for hyvibe looper/effects.. I think my next idea would be to add pictures into the gutars and personal designs - you would sell far more - i would love a guitar with my daughters picture on it and a poem - personalisation of your guitars would take your sales to next level i think....blessings
Thanks for the lovely comment, call in and see us if you ever get the chance! You can contact the sales team directly if there are any ideas on your custom artwork, we've done some beautiful painted guitars in the past. Please email sales@emeraldguitars.com for more info. Thanks!
I don't work for Emerald, but here's the last communication I received on the progress of the Balor 6: "Alistair has drawn up the final designs for the basses now so the next stage will be much faster." So it seems like the tedious design part is complete. Now what's left is the physical part. We should see them in the coming months, I suspect.
Wonderfully engaging video. Please identify by color, etc, the guitar on the bottom directly behind the Marshall amp in the players’ lounge. It’s gorgeous.
Thank you! The two behind the Marshall in the players suite are left to right - X20-7 String Pau Ferro SKU 9250 and X20-Baritone Claro Walnut SKU 9880 let us know if these aren't the ones you are referring to. You can search and find these models via their SKU numbers over at emeraldguitars.com

Fantastic video! If this doesn't inspire a nonEmerald owner at this point I give up. Totally inspired heading to my show tonight...thx everyone!
Thanks Terry, glad we've inspired you on your way to your next gig! Enjoy!

Definitely on my bucket list. Decided to purchase a guitar instead. Promised to arrive before Christmas. Was good to catch a glimpse of Kevin.

Brilliant video Alistair. You’ve made Willie Wonka’s Chocolate factory for guitarists.
Thank you, hope you enjoyed the walkthrough! Everyone that comes for a visit says the same thing 😂 like kids in a candy shop!
LOL
"Not a trashcan" hit me hard.

Thanks for joining us for our virtual tour visit!
I just learned for the first time that I can rotate veneers!
You sure can! Try that out and see what you can do!
Looking forward to a break at work so that I can take this tour of the new factory!
Come and visit us when you can!
Great video! Thank you. Are you ever going to make color changing guitars again?
Only if we have the materials for it! You can contact our team at sales@emeraldguitars.com and enquire with them. Best of luck!
When are the 6 string basses going to be released? KILLER!!!! video by the way, Thank you.

No China merch, only local made products. That's the most sensible and admirable thing I've heard in years.
We have a range of local merchandise including our locally made Emerald mugs to show off the best of our local craftspeople.
If you don’t own an Emerald, your guitar journey is not done.
Well we can't argue with that sentiment! 😁
$1.75 for a PLEKT machine seems cheap!
if only! 😂
