- I do a detailed walkaround of the 2017 Suzuki Gixxer SF SP FI ABS which is a special edition of the Gixxer SF, priced at Rs. 1.18 lakhs (on-road, Mumbai). The Suzuki Gixxer SF is the smallest capacity motorcycle to get ABS although it is a single-channel unit.

Never mind the cubic capacity.. this is the best looking fully fared bike in its price range.. no offence to Yamaha lovers but the Fazer 250 looks the worst bike in the 1 to 2 lac price point 😅

Gixxer siblings has lots of fit and finish issues...but that ultra lightweight 155cc engine gives us adequate grunt within city and highway...But Pulsar 160 engine is not reliable at all though it's easy to maintain...

No doubt that this bike looks lovely, like a mini Hayabusa but at least the ABS should have been a dual channel unit.
But small capacity bike are also driven at 100kmph so I think this speed is enough to have a dual channel abs !!!!!!

70-80 % braking force is on the front brakes so a single channel ABS is enough to stop these bikes
I ride Unicorn 150 and most of the time I use my front brakes and it gives excellent result.
Best thing is Suzuki provided ABS in this bike.
Faisal do you have any idea whether Suzuki gsx r150 will be launched in India or not?

Use motul 300v fully synthetic engine oil with Easter core technology which is made in France and mostly used in high end bikes. Use it and feel the difference in your bike performance. Don't forget to tighten your bike chain and apply bike chain spray after every three weeks

fazil bro recommend me a car (diesel)at around price 5 lack. i paln for tiago xt but it doesn't get abs. only top varient get abs. recommend an all rounder car. better drivablity, passenger comfort, and also highway crusing around 130 to 140 kmph. diesel cars only.

Hi I went to Suzuki showroom and test drive the new gixer SF fi abs.The performance ,stability and braking everything is up to the mark,but I feel the gear shifting is bit of harder side..very hard..After that I was totally confused that either I go for gixer or not!!please tell me sir..even Suzuki's advisor too agreed with my points

@zeesonafex Zee It's more of a sport touring bike than sports bike.they mainly focused on riding satisfaction with a decent sports look.

Gixxer looks good from the back but from the side it looks weird thanks to those gaps. I'd rather go for R15v2/v3 or Pulsar200ns

My Suggestion :)
1. Apache RTR 180 - NON ABS @ 92K on road here in MUMBAI or
2. Apache RTR 180 - ABS @ 1 Lac & 4k on road here in MUMBAI.
I'll choose performance over looks..... personal satisfaction is more important than showoff .....any time NS is BEAST..

Now why engine gets overheated and smells like burning. What might b the reason, what should I get checked.
According to SC it's common in all gixxers.
But I m facing the issue now.
9500km running..mobil,air/oil filter, plug changed at 9000km for 3rd service at SC,
NOW what shall i get checked bro.

***** .mileage is ok..i m getting same as earlier..Rs100 about 70/72km per litre..Clutch lever feels very tight after 3rd service, finger starts paining after some km ride
***** I hv to show outside/local mechanic, as there is only 1 SC in my home town.SILCHAR. What r the reasons that causes heating, i will get it checked outside.

What's the on road price?
I always feel, Suzuki could have bridge the gap between the tank and handlebar. This gap distracts me a lot. Otherwise I fee this is one of the best looking and reliable bike in this segment. Even better than hornet and fz when compare power band in real life within city and on highway. ....way too reliable.

Looks to bike ka bahut acha hai lekin city ride me scratches ane ka khatra hai aur aenge hi.itna sara tam jham laga hai age poori fairing wali bike hai.to mere lie 200ns will be good choice.

Simply go for NS or Apache200 or even FZ25 if mileage is not a concern. Or R15S can also be considered. Also P220 is even better.
If not all these plain gixxer is better than this.
The price for this bike is not at all justified and not at all VFM at any point.
