Very few people understand this. On paper, yes, the new RC200 is a better bike than the old one. Yes, if you catch a random person on the road and make them ride the two bikes back to back, almost everyone will prefer the new RC200 (looks will be a debate to settle for another time). But..... a random normal person will not consider the KTM RC series. They have a few screws in the head at a different place. They aren't looking for comfort and vibe free experience. They are looking for a motorcycle that will bring a big grin on their face every time they decide to see how much their right wrist can actually twist. As a member of this weird group of people, my heart sank when i rode the new RC200. Slap a honda sticker on and you could easily pass it for a Honda cbr200. Slap a yamaha sticker on and it'll be a YZFR200. A gixxer 200? You know what to do. It is because of exactly what Faisal is saying, the soul is gone. In order to appeal to a larger market, KTM has decided to throw the people who loved the old RC into a volcano. We were people who had the audacity to claim the rc200 was indeed the best beginner bike for people who would like to have the quintessential sportsbike experience (the huge grin slapped to your face all the time while your muscles ache kind of thing). We were ready to die on that hill. Now that hill is gone. I owned the rc200 for 4 years. 4 beautiful years. And now i have switched over to the rc390 2021. The last lot of the bikes sold before a soulless machine takes its place. We will persevere though. I will cherish the bike for as long as i can. The last of its kind. The king is dead. Long live the king.

There are just 2 downside of this bike..
1. It's kind of overpriced alongside the features, they are just one level up.
2. The looks; it's a love it or hate it kinda design but most of people are not liking it. They should've given LED projector instead
Only some Indian people are not liking because they never accept changes easily, it looks absolute beauty and premium

No one's taking about the reduced fairing size and the gap that's visible... It's like a part of the fairing is missing... The bike would had looked much better with lower fairing extending till the exhaust (like old 2016 RCs)
Always remember you should check yourself by riding test bike, which suits your character this review won't give all the information and not feeling, they just say what they experience and bias.
So it ditches some good things for other good things which is liveability. To me that's a plus
