@@bmorr Forza Horizon games don't exactly lend themselves to proper driving. Also, drifting *is* slower on asphalt but it is far more stylish than a grip run, if you will.

@@pustekuchen8956 Actually thank Toyota. Toyota pretty much applied everything, aside from most of the engine. The only thing that Subaru provides is the drivetrain. The car was designed 100% by Toyota. The gearboxes is Toyota, chassis is developed by Toyota, the engine's fuel injection DNA is Toyota, design is from Toyota (inspired by the 2000GT), many parts and components are from Toyota just to name a few. It was even Toyota's idea in the first place.
Toyota designed and tested a prototype for this car all on their own. They then showed the car to Subaru to convince them to build a high compression NA boxer for them, as well as the whole idea for the 86. Subaru said yes. The boxer engine was picked because it sits very low in the chassis to help with handling characteristics, alongside with reduced development costs. The prototype car was called the FT-86, the ONLY difference between the prototype and the final production is that the prototype had a Lexus V6. The entire rest of the car is Toyota except the engine, and even then, Toyota's D4-S fuel-injection DNA system is hooked up to the motor. It's a Toyota, not a Subaru.
Afterwards, Subaru decided to make the BRZ, which is the identical twin of the GT86, then is instructed by Toyota to manufacture the two cars at their Gunma plant in Japan, for extra credit. (and fun fact: About 17% of Subaru is owned by Toyota)

What's different is the design.
I have drove in an fr-s, gt86, and now own a brz. I will say the fr-s seemed rather cheap feeling and before someone says it is priced cheaper I agree it is a fair deal. The gt86 was amazing and had great drivability and all around track feeling to it. But the BRZ just felt much more stabile and didn't make a small rattling noise like the fr-s and gt86 did in the cabin. The body was produced by toyota and the engine by subaru. Toyota sold an amazing car and Subaru perfected it with the performance package. @@kojitaro_0963
