That seller sure did spend a bunch of time putting worthless cards into binders. Sorry to see you got hosed badly on that purchase.
100% those binders were cleared of real value before selling....all those lands were likely fillers

All those basic lands scattered through the binders, that's where the money cards were. He was legit trying to hose you.

my thoughts exactly, forgot to take out the Shrine and the borrower but the reste are a few 5$ cards he left there i guess by accident
Easy DIY trap for the fruit flies.... Put out a cup or bowl filled up with apple cider vinegar and cover the opening with a plastic baggie or Saran wrap and poke holes into the bag/wrap with a fork. The flies will go in and get stuck inside.
i don't think I've ever heard of somebody who's actually done that and it worked

Nah the real hack is you get a piece of paper and make it a cone, leaving some space at the bottom for a tiny hole. Put the small side into a glass of red wine. Suckers will fly in and won't be able to figure out a way out.
I started at 4th edition and ended with 6th edition. I enjoyed sets such as Mirage and Visions. I left the game then and came back when Eldraine came out. Almost 20 years. I have since collected, played, and try to get my wife to play a match once in a while. It’s amazing to see how many cards have amassed since I left it’s been a long time.
Wow! What a nice guy!! Made sure to not burden you with any value!! For real though man, that absolutely sucks… been there recently also.. though I literally only found 1 card out of 1800 that was worth a dollar- everything else was sub .50…

Most mtg players who get out sell the pricey stuff to their LGS or close friends who play. What’s left is called bulk $0.01-$3.00 cards and they put a premium price tag on it. When star city games gives like $3-$5 per 1,000

Left back in legends because poverty and just started back around the two months ago. I could use the binders, sleeves, deck boxes, bulk, etc if you are looking to sell it.
With the binders and deck boxes, didn't do to bad really. Its no big winner, but wasn't a stinker!

Just for the record, all of those binders are probably worth 15+ dollars each. Maybe more
Rip to your wallet, deck box's of those type usually go for 10$ each the binders I think are like 12+$ depending where you get them

I played for the first time and last time during m15-khans blocks. I joined the military and sold my cards thinking no one in the military plays this game. Then I find myself playing commander every weekend now ever since Midnight Hunt and couldn't be happier.

I started in Zendikar block and took my hiatus after Gatecrash, luckily never experienced Dragon's Maze. I came back with MTG Arena, and ended up buying some cards again, got the M20 kit and Kaldheim kit around that time.
Seeing those New Phyrexia and Innistrad bulk in the binders really brought me back. Currently my Volo, GTM commander deck is mostly from collection, some traded items, and finally I've bought some cards specifically for it. In that deck some highlights of the time are Lumberknot (saw it in the video, made me think of it), Pathrazer of Ulamog, Palladium Myr, Second Harvest, Rapid Hybridization, Ghost Quarter, Overwhelming Stampede and Consecrated Sphinx.
Some highlights from when I played originally are my Consecrated Sphinx and Aurelia, the Warleader. Also quite fond of my foil M11 Reassemebling Skeleton and my two Overwhelming Stampedes, which carried my not-so-great mono green decks to victory at the lunch table back in middle school.

I left MTG around the time they introduced poison counters. It just completely killed the game for me at the time.

I started in Antiquities, got out around Visions/Weatherlight. Got back in around Ixalan when some of my colleagues played. I brought my old deck and played a Mishra's Workshop and my colleague said "You shouldn't be shuffling that."
ironically the first legend i pulled from my 14 boxes was in fact pit scorpian.

I started in 4th and stopped after Stronghold. Came back when the Duals of the Planeswalkers video game came out and started playing cards on and off with Magic 2014, Ikoria, AFR, and Dominaria United

Hey Joey u only lost 58.02 not as bad and I don't think u factored in all the binders being 10.00 each x7 =70$ so u really gained money if u don't want those deck boxes with mana symbols I'll gladly give an offer or if u got more of em let me know any who when we getting the Wal-Mart mystery cubes 1 time per year deal I really enjoy commander and wouldn't mind getting a few commander decks

I started during the Mirage block and ended before the Urzas block was done. My main game play was the Tempest block. My cousin stole all my cards I was gonna keep. Then in 2010 I got back in because of my little step brothers, right on the end of Zendikar/Eldrazi block.
you missed the Achetype of Endurance in the born of the Gamble pages, all the Archetypes are worth a dollar or so. (1.30 in this case)

I started in Zendikar Rising, and it's already been a wild ride.
I came in around 7th edition. Was able to get some stuff as old as mercadian masques. Stopped playing during the kamigawa drops. Sold my cards in 08 for a whopping $70 (had some fetch lands and other goodies that are worth a decent amount now) Got back into it during kaldheim, but bought a theros, ikoria, and zendicar box at the same time. slowed back down recently and only buy a couple packs per drop.
Finally some value!! I was getting nervous for you!
I left in Visions and returned with Eldraine. Wife found two Lion's Eyes in artifact binder.

Joey - seeing/hearing you go through binders like this almost breaks my heart. It makes me want to put together a binder, just for you, that has only cards that are not bulk, just so you can have something fun to open.

Anymore with eBay, I’m to the point any “instant collection” or even personal collections I’m very cautious on. There’s a few once in awhile that seem really good but not very often
Issue now is that TCG app that scans everything. In the past people would get lazy typing in thousands of cards looking for value. Now they scan it and pull everything over $1 or $3

I think its going to be rare to find collections with any truly valuable cards anymore, either on Ebay or Goodwill. Channels like BadBoyGaming and such are victims of their own success. People know that MTG cards are valuable and will sort through them to check if there are any "money" cards in them before selling. You might, and I mean might, be able to find someone that has no idea what they have but that's going to become increasingly rarer now, especially with online sales like Auctions since people can easily look up what they have to find out their value. Any decent finds you may come across will likely be at yard/garage sales.
The moment you were that amazed by evolving wilds, I couldnt help but question your MTG knowledge. That card has been printed to oblivion.
