  • Hey everyone, I created this video for anyone looking for some upgrades to their 4Runner and share those products, as well as challenge myself to pursue more film making. I also included a clip of the sound from the aftermarket exhaust at the 1:40 mark. I'll describe my thoughts and goals below as much as I can and provide links to everything as well. Hope you enjoy!
    One of the first mods I wanted for my Nautical Blue 4Runner since purchase was a lift. My eventual goal is the King Off-Road suspension system but I wanted something budget friendly that's still quality to hold me over in the meantime and came across the Pro Truck Lift Kit system by Eibach. After reading one great review after another and countless more plus the pricing I knew that this was the upgrade I've been searching for. Huge thank you to my homie Danilo for helping me with the install.
    Along the list of the first mods for my rig was the exhaust. Not necessarily to help with mpg's but for the sound alone. I'm a big old school muscle car fan and there's nothing like that throaty sound. I knew I wasn't going to get that out of the V6 in the 4Runner lol but I just wanted a better sound than stock. After weighing all the options when I was just about to make a decision I found REMARK. They have an exhaust specifically for the 4Runner and it's called Bold Performance. As soon as I heard the sound I immediately hit purchase. The build, welds, finish are high quality and for the price I couldn't be happier.
    Just this past December I had 1" spacers in the front installed by the awesome crew, 88Rotors in Southern California. The 4Runner comes with a pretty big rake from factory so I installed these to minimize the rake and level it as much as possible. With the Eibach kit, they were no longer needed but I did install .5" cornfed spacers in the rear of the Eibach springs. Giving the total rear lift 1.5" as opposed to just 1" with the Eibach rear springs alone. It did result on getting the big looking rake from factory again but the awesome option of the Eibach front struts is they can be readjusted to a higher setting in case I do want the leveled look. However, I'm leaving this for the near future when I upgrade from 265 tires to 285's as well as aftermarket Upper Control Arms (UCA's.) An upside of having the rake is when I do occasionally load the rear with heavy weight I'll avoid the reverse rake. All in all, I'm satisfied with the stance I received from the Cornfed spacers and damn glad I didn't go with anything larger than the half inch.
    Last but not least giving my 4Runner a wider stance with the Spidertrax 1.25" wheel spacers. I gave this mod a lot of thought cause I consider it sketchy. I've seen a few stories where some wheels flew off while on the road and definitely makes you think twice. But being confident that I install them properly there'll be a lesser chance something like that will happen. Plus their only temporary while I'm still running the stock TRD wheels, I'll eventually upgrade to wheels with a better offset and take the wheel spacers off. In the meantime, I love the wider stance look with the TRD wheels on the Spidertrax spacers.
    If you're still reading this, thank you for your time and checking out my video. Shot and edited by me. I'll also drop the links below in case anyone is interested in checking these products out for their rig. Can't wait to hit some trails and test out the Eibach system.

    Looks great!. Really looks MEAN.
    Will be getting this kit and OME trim packer shims for front and rear to accommodate for the lean. Also go up 1 size for tyre (275). I have the 3rd row seating.
    That exhaust sounds killer.

      Thanks, sounds awesome man haven't regretted this kit so I'm sure you won't regret it either. Definitely recommend this exhaust as a cheaper option than the TRD exhaust and an improvement over the BRP and gibson exhaust.

      Got it installed by a friend, he's not taking on any work right now but there's stellar built in Sac, just got my dobinsons UCA's and perch adjusted from the first setting to the third by them. 88 Rotors in So Cal also got some work done in the past highly recommend them. But I realize those are far, heard of this new shop in Hayward, Beep's Off-Road, owner of Beep's burgers on Ocean Ave. I grab my philz across the street every morning, saw me in my 4Runner and approached me that they just recently opened up. He owns some pretty sick builds that I've seen parked on the Beep's burger lot. I might check them out in the future. Hope that helps good luck with the install!

    Hey, so to clarify, you have the Eibach lift+ 265 tires right? Did you experience any rubbing with the Spidertrax spacers? Thanks!

    • @griz7054
      @griz7054  4 роки тому

      Yessir, I'm rubbing at full lock on reverse. Took off the front mudguards hoping that would solve it but I will be needing a body mount chop soon. I'm switching to 285's so this was going to happen sooner or later.
