You probably weren't following the whole tournament I presume. Everyone had issues with the court in the QF, and Jame's match had to be shifted to a club court for safety reasons. James didn't wanna risk getting injured, not that he was sore over losing to Ramy.
what an amazing match! :) such variety in their play!
They still are but to have the glass court you need dark walls, and a black ball would be invisible! So the white ball is all part of the televising procedure and has been used at the top level for over 20 years now so TV cameras can see it.
I’ll miss Ramy.

Can someone explain what happened in the end? Why did Wilstrop forfeit?

Would like to hear the story on why he quit from Willstrop himself--it looked like the way he was shaking his head either Ramy wasn't clearing and the refs weren't doing anything about it or maybe like someone else said the court wasn't safe and he knew he wasn't coming back from down 2-0 in the third.

What happens at 1:18? Ashours final shot seems to be heading out to the right but after bouncing out from the front wall the ball goes to the left?!
Does he hit some crack or something? But there shouldn't be any cracks in the front wall?

The footsteps on this court are so noisy!
They have common problems with these glass courts getting slippery. Slipping in squash can be really dangerous as you are so often at full stretch, so a slip during a lung can easily pull muscles or even rupture tendons.
Ramy is so talanted, and the court issue with wilstrop aint realy a point to talk about, I realy enjoy watching Ramy playing.

not if u got 1000 euro on ramy :) and if u are 6-2 behind in the last set you can easaly play injuryrisk free.. i know how james tought.. nmbr 1 in the world didnt lose for long time and then ramy shows up and beats u 3-0..
Because Ramy was in the top left corner of the court in front of james... and James did not have full view of the front wall. Meaning Ramy was limiting his shots.
That's a stroke in squash. You have to get out of the front corners, quickly obstruction in this part of the court can lead to losing the point due to a stroke... even if your not quite ready to hit the ball. When you watch pro squash they always clear this area quickly. unlike some bad players who try to block.bad sportsman-ship
willstrop makes me so sad here.. couldnt play on cause he got beaten by ramy... he blaimed the court.. WAS HE THE ONLY 1 ON THIS COURT? Ramy must have payed on another court then..
I don't blame James at all. One nasty slip and his squash career could be over. It is a sad ending to the match, but understandable.
