I was an architect at antibiotics project at Rishikesh. I was there from 1963 to 1967. I remember wild elephants breaking project fences. For some reason all my workig life in Bharat by the side of gaga river. I was also at Patna and Hathida . Your lecture brought old memories. Your lectures are an inspiration to young and old. ALLAH created angels who have no free-will (to disobey). But Believers of human beings are better creation than angels who have free-wills to disobey ALLAH's guidance but they are obeying ALLAH's commandments. That’s why ALLAH honored Adam (Peace be upon him) above the angels. The One (ALLAH) Who created death and life that He may test you [people], which of you (is) best (in) deed. 67:2 Tell me who is better: Angels are obeying ALLAH's commandments. (Angels have no free-will to disobey ALLAH's order) On the other hand, believers (of human beings) who have free-will (to disobey ALLAH's order but) are obeying ALLAH's commandments. Tell me who is better creation of ALLAH? I humbly request you to read the whole Al-Quran and sahih hadith to know the truth by yourself. Because the first word of Al-Quran which was revealed is "READ" Read in the name of thy Lord who created; [He] created the human being from blood clot. Read in the name of thy Lord who taught by the pen: [He] taught the human being what he did not know.” (96:1-5). First you need to understand that it's TRUE GOD's will to test mankind, the GOD didn't hinder the wrong-doing people to corrupt the previous scriptures. in spite of that; you can still see the basic truth is prevailed in all scriptures Answer: Why would ALLAH allow someone from his creatures into paradise who will egoistically claim that he is logically more knowledgeable than his own (creator) GOD therein? (ALLAH) said: "What prevented you (O Iblis satan) that you did not prostrate, when I commanded you?" Iblis said: "I am better than him (Adam), You created me from fire, and him You created from clay." ALLAH said: "(O Iblis satan) get down from this (Paradise), it is not for you to be arrogant here. @@AnandRajappan No it's not! It would've been ok if he would've said that an individual devotes only as much time to chant God's name as his innate tendencies permit him to. But as a prescription, to say that chanting should be limited is mediocre bhakti. Points of view elucidate different aspects of the same reality, all of which are valid descriptions, albeit partial. But what Professor Kapil is doing is to ascribe human attributes to the Divine...which is outrightly wrong! In the material world, a thing and its name are always distinct. Not so in the the spiritual world. Him and His name are one. Sorry for sounding so militant about it. I just feel strongly about it that's all.

I don't think he is having any issues with Chanting nama. You are confusing it with it. The Gopis who used to call the names of Krishna Rama (SB 10:34:27) in all situations are not the same, as Draupathi calling Dharma / Krishna to save, while disrobed. Both are not the same way of calling Bhagavan. It is completely different in terms of Bhakthi. That's the point. And obviously both have their merits and use. In Bhakthi, Bhava is what matters and not the Gyan. So we can take it easy i guess with what Prof. Kapila ji is telling here.
