Not only was this ride a good retelling of the book, but it was also one of the only two places in the world where children could actually go inside the Wonka factory. Sadly, with its closure and the closure of Wannado City in 2011, children of future generations will never get step inside the factory of one of the greatest children's books of all time.
You can tell it's Danny Elfman immediately. Always thought they took inspiration from him, found out that it's actually him. Love it.
So many memories of this ride, this was and still is the best version of this classic story in my opinion
Stunningly fitting piece of music. Very fun and wacky. Such a shame that they got rid. I love themepark music. So many people under estimate just how important it is to the overall atmosphere of a ride.

The building has been rethemed a lot
i Think It Should be knocked down after standing for so many years and being the site for SW9

@@CalumEdwards-qv7cz imagine if it gets re-themed to The Alton Towers Museum to show past rides and the past of the Towers and Gardens, as well as past shows, mascots, areas and scare mazes and zones
I heard it was closed 🔐 because thay lost their copyright © to it

No because there’s the dungeons, I don’t remember much of it myself I just remembered that the water look similar to chocolate and it smelt like sugar and sweets
It was such a good ride , there was the initial boat ride which was amazing , then you would enter the elevator which was the last segment of the ride , in between there was a segment with a video talking about the different candy’s
I'm fuming 😤 Charlie and the chocolate factory is my favourite film and I've always said that a catcf themed ride would be epic and I would die to go on it I LIVE IN ENGLAND Alton Towers is the only theme park I haven't been to 😭 I'm going to dig a hole crawl inside and cry
