I work at Hobby Lobby and have seen this at our store and have always wondered how to use this product. Thank you for sharing the information and now I think I may have found another phase of crafting that I have to try. lol
Howdy, I loved working with these and found quite a few still unopened. I have tons of colors and my two-fold QUESTIONS are: a) Is there an expiry date once bottle is opened?, and b) is there an expiry date on un-opened bottles?
Hi, I have big bottle of the liquid leading, but the liquid comes out more in globs that the smooth line you show here. Is there a way of adding "runniness" to the paint, I'm unsure if adding water into the bottle would help. It's a big bummer since I just got the big bottle and only managed to use it once before it became hard to apply 😬
@@ariannasilva4462 I haven't found the tape for sale here in Finland, already the colours are hard to track down and there's very limited supply 😅 I would be curious to try it if I get the chance though!
Plaid Crafts or anyone, do you know if a tint could be used in the Gallery Glass Clear Paint? I love the texture look and would like to use it with a color.
Question about the pre-made lead option. I notice you using it for large curves or straight lined, but not for fine details, like the tulips. I'm doing a project with your materials supplied to me by the client. They have me trying to do tight curves, so there is so much tension that the tape pops off the surface down the road. Not sure if I'm explaining that makes sense. I'm trying to explain to the client that probably better solution is using liquid for tight art, but they have the tape tuck in their head. Do you have any ideas on how to se the lead tape in tighter art? I the past I sometimes slice the tape to a thinner piece so it's easier to bend, but doesn't always work. Thought about using a heat gun to soften it for application, or possibly use a thin bead of super glue. Any suggestions?
The lines on glass.....when they are applied to plexiglass will they adhere to the plexiglass after seven days and become permanent? Or is this only good for making the removable glass art?
The lead tape, if that's what you're asking about, does stick pretty good to plex, but if the lines are short and tight, then tension know the tape while make it want to pop off sometimes. It bonds to a surface over time, so in otherwords... when initially applying, it's pretty sticking, but can be pulled reapplied easily, but as days past, it adheres more to the surface more. I wouldn't call any of these materials "permanent". I guess it depends on your definition of perm, and what environment the finished product in. I.E. Outdoors/Indoors, in direct sunlight or not, dusty environemnts, how much are people potentially touching/handling it, etc lol
Yes you can mix two colors together. Very gently mix the colors together without mixing too much air into the mixture. You want to avoid air bubbles. If you see air bubbles use a needle 🪡 to pop them, or tap on the project from behind. I hope this helps.
It's only removable on glass, but you could use perhaps a glass from a photo frame to do a smaller project and transfer it! It will not come off of plexiglass though.
I want to use it on a glass coffee table, but im worried aboutthe texture if i do it on the top. Will it be pretty if i paint on the other side of the glass ?
It will not peel off by itself, if that is what you are worried about. The paint is not permanent on glass, but it will stay until you want to remove it.
Seal edge to edge. Where she shows circles, in time this stuff can become hard and brittle like finger nail polish You want sealed and never dust with a cloth, I use large paint brush to dust periodically.
The "Ruby Red" is a super pale pink. Disappointed as it's the main colour l needed for my project. Anyone know of a true translucent red product to use??? Really need help here.

They got leading tape now. I'd recommend just using that. It's more flexible than the one in this video.

I think those led lines were a great tip
Does instant lead lines have to go directly on the windows?
Does it look good from both sides of the glass.?
I’d like to know this too please ?
The back of the glass will be flat. No dimension. Still beautiful. The size you painted on will look more realistic. It will have texture.

Would this be a good product to use to create a faux stained glass window on the front of my house for privacy?
How many years will it last in a window with direct sunlight?
Good question
I have some gallery blasting glass windows that I’ve had for years. The paint becomes brittle.
Can you mix different colors together?
Yes you can mix two colors together. Very gently mix the colors together without mixing too much air into the mixture. You want to avoid air bubbles. If you see air bubbles use a needle 🪡 to pop them, or tap on the project from behind. I hope this helps.
I wondered if you can go over dry paint to darken the color. Anyone know?
Absolutely, I don't use their patterns, most free hand and some pieces four layers or multiple colors. I get great 3 D look.
Do you have to wait for leading to dry before filling in with color?
Yes. They say to let it dry overnight.
No, but unless some hurry I would wait because leading can relax as dries and widens.
Hello, is it possible to make your design on another surface, besides glass, and transfer to a window? I would love your thoughts please.
It's only removable on glass, but you could use perhaps a glass from a photo frame to do a smaller project and transfer it! It will not come off of plexiglass though.
I use clear A4 sheet protectors! Works like a charm.
@@plaidcraftsWould it adhere to plexiglass? (It is a replacement window/temporary window…)
Thanks! 😊
@@AMidnightGardeneryou can use it on plexiglass. It’s difficult to remove, as plexiglass is porous, whereas glass is not.

The lead lines will probably look odd, but the rest should look the same. Try doing a test
Are these products archival?
I wish someone would answer some questions from us. How can I make it where it won't peel off?

Why don’t the major craft stores not even carry Gallery Glass anymore?
I found some at micheals today that's why I'm watching this video before I start using it

Try mixing a bit of pure red pigment to the gallery glass paint. Let it dry and see if this helps, before applying it to your project.
you really need to answer all the comment Qs!
No, you not the boss!
I agree - people need answers. I'm brand new to this and have questions.
Help how do u remove old paint?
Razor blade, new is flexible, old and seasoned becomes brittle.
👌👌👌
Not a bad video
I made these as a kid. I really liked chewing on them.
