Our fox cubs return home, back to the wild!

- We are so delighted to share the first steps back into the wild of one of our fox cub groups, which included our dark-coated litter.
We’re utterly overwhelmed with joy to see the sheer excitement and fun they're able to experience, once they realise they're free🥳!
They spent their first few nights close to their pen, understandably, getting to know their neighbours, which included a rather curious, but cautious, herd of fallow deer, some un-phased wood pigeons and even a mocking crow!
Over the following weeks, they will be support fed until we're sure they've found their feet and honed their hunting skills.

Note to self: do NOT take a big bite of English muffin just as you start this video! It gave me such a lump in my throat I almost choked! Really, watching those foxes discover their freedom made me weep. Thank you so much, Wildlife Aid, for all you do for our fellow creatures. You're the best!

It is like they have just been let out of school and are racing around having a wonderful time but wondering when the teacher will be back to call them into class again. So fabulous to see them play.

Foxes are awesome. They look so mischievous and seeing them running arround like kids on the playground is an absolute joy.
That nighttime-shot with the deer made me giggle. Felt like the deer said "Oh come one, this is a quiet neighbourhood, you little buggers!"

Absolutely freaking amazing! It's so uplifting to see these wonderful animals enjoying themselves in the wild. I also love how the deer are probably like, "Ah crap, we have some more annoying kids to deal with!" :D
What a beautiful and poignant song for this video! I am just so overjoyed at seeing these young cubs take on their newfound freedom by playing, exploring, and having adventures together. Without WAF, they would probably never have had that second chance to be what they were meant to be. Thank you, Simon, for laying the foundation to make all this possible!

Excellent video and a the song was just perfect. Wonderful to see them having a good time running round and chasing the birds. How lovely I do hope they managed to get food or know how to kill. Although I know that sounds dreadful but out in that field I don’t see little old ladies like me putting food outside their house when the female is pregnant and then trying to raise cubs on her own.
