BASED SPRING MUSHROOM ENJOYER!!! HATERS JUST HAVE SKILL ISSUE LOL.
Also, on the topic of the music notes and the songs they play, there IS actually a third song. It's the Super Mario World main theme! However, I think it's legitimately only used once, and in a bonus room in a pipe at the top of Deep Dark Galaxy's main planet funnily enough. The rest is either just the underground or underwater themes or a basic rising scale, but a third song is technically there!
The Mario World version of the music notes DOES return in Galaxy 2 though, and in a less hidden spot, in the first area of Puzzle Plank Galaxy, and it might be used elsewhere too. And I believe it also returns in 3D Land, which retains the exact same songs for the music notes as the Galaxy games (sadly Odyssey ditched them entirely and just has a rising basic scale for the music notes).
Thanks! And yep, you might here a bit about that third song in the next video...
Been enjoying this series! The videos are clean and thoughtful, with a great balance of personality and professionalism (you are, after all, a professional). Looking forward to more!
Thanks a ton, only a few left!
Frosty Fruits was hands down the best Tropical Freeze level, change my mind.
I'm having quite the bad day and seeing you just released a Mario Galaxy video and allowing me to just block the thoughts and watch the video really helped me to cool down, sincere thanks for that.
Hey, that means a lot to hear, and hope your next day was better!
@@JackaveliGames Your very welcome ! When I'm sad I tend to get emotional and cheesy, so much so that most of the time I regret what I say but I still stand by all I said.
To give a little update (I won't get into details for very obvious reasons) I'll say that things are still difficult but bearable now, and I'm doing my best to carry on and see the positive side of things and not drown into pessimism.
I love this game and I'm not surprised that watching a video about dissecting every world of this game has a relaxing impact on me. I'm that kind of nerd.
Thanks for your work 😊
27:04 The Super Mario World overworld theme is used too.
Spoilers for the next video 🤣
I love your videos Jackaveli
Thanks, I appreciate it!
My main problem with the spring mushroom is that it's useless for the levels it's used in; you can get past half of the sections it's used in without the spring mushroom. If they changed the level design then sure its use would be justified. The Star Ball is required for every section it's used in and it's more fun to control imo. I don't consider the spring mushroom one of the worst powerups (Toy Time is actually one of my favorite galaxies), but it's understandable why people would hate it.
Regardless, great video!
Thank you!
Can't wait for your thoughts on deep dark galaxy, it was always my favourite as a kid
A lot of people dislike it but I always liked the uncanny vibe of Deep Dark. You get the feeling something isn't right about that place and I love every second of it.
Except the purple coin mission, that was tedious.
@chronicchronicling-jb8zz yeah I agree, especially on the purple coin mission, I specifically liked the complete randomness of some aspects of the missions like ground pounding balls into a melon to make it grow, and also the atmosphere of the main beach area with all the toads hanging out. Overall just a weird yet kind of vibey place imo
Hey, thank you! And yes, Deep Dark stood out to me a lot more than I had remembered when playing it.
Are you Geoff Keighly’s son?
Yeah, no the criticisms of the Spring Mushroom don't fall flat with your explanation. If anything it strengthens them.
The issue and criticism of the Spring Mushroom isn't that it's hard to control. It's that it's NO FUN to control or use. It's just frustrating. And the level design around it is frustrating. A hard to control thing is fine, as long as the challenge is enjoyable. And you pointing out that levels are designed around the power ups make that worse I feel. That means they could have changed or handled certain elements of the level design for the levels with the Spring Mushroom to make using it less frustrating, which in turn makes the power-up less, frustrating and the challenge of controlling it more enjoyable and rewarding; and then they chose not too.
The Spring Mushroom is an amazing idea, with incredibly flawed execution, like the Fire and Ice Flowers are in this game.
And it's a shame, as it's presence as is keeps Toy Time from being my favorite galaxy.
