    Thanks for watching! Do you have any questions about duct sealing that I didn't ask the technicians? Let me know below and I'll ask! 👇

      What's the licensing like? On that 4 ton system I'm assuming you have to pay a recapturing fee of some kind. How much is it for a 4 ton system? Also on a 4 ton system how much sealer did you go through? I know it's expensive per gallon with the idea being you save on labor and you can leak test and seal at the same time. I'm looking to possibly be doing this at the commercial level.
      Thanks for the video it was great!

    Great video and very informative. I really would like to see someone in my areas give this much attention to details when it comes to the HVAC systems

    Questions; how long before the sealing/coating starts to disintegrate and break away and possibly contaminating the Air Handler... does it work on 'flex' duct?
    Also, being your only sealing the 'supply' ducts, what about leaking returns... as a leaking return in the attic will suck-in hot attic air making the AC system works harder and be inefficient.

    • @jayrodathome
      @jayrodathome 2 роки тому

      It's waterbased and meets the same standards as DP1010 I believe. It will also seal up to 10" W.G. and can and is being used on commercial applications.

    • @percyfaith11
      @percyfaith11 2 роки тому

      Most air returns and not in the attic. No need for them to be since the attic is not heated or cooled so no need to return air from there. Sealing the supply ducts is the most important factor.

      Wait, is that true that Aeroseal only seals the supply ducts? That doesn't seem great.

    • @percyfaith11
      @percyfaith11 2 роки тому

      @@Juffo-Wup that is all that's needed. It doesn't matter if the return ducts leak a tiny bit.

      @@Juffo-Wup It can be used on the returns exactly the same as the supply, many installers don't do it because a lot of returns are using wall cavities as the ducts and they take a long time to seal.

    I have duct board as supply line in attic roof cavity and under floor metal air return line . I’m getting a lot of dust assume from duct board and air return holes . Have new furnace with 5” filter . Will AeroSeal seal the duct board surface as well any holes in the system ?

      Hi, since your question is a bit difficult to answer here, we answered it in this week's video: ua-cam.com/video/KxBvSZ0ebOs/v-deo.html. Your question is at the 6:29 mark. Also, yes, AeroSeal will seal the duct board surface. Thanks for asking! Great question!

    I wonder if this can be done in a laundromat, not for Air conditioning but for the dryer exhaust ducting. Leaks in the exhaust ducting dust/lint the entire service area and dryer backs.

    • @tamps2147
      @tamps2147 3 роки тому +1

      That just means you need to get the dryer vents clean. You should have those clean at least one time a year.

      From what I've seen, it's 10 year warranty on the labor and the product, but tests show it lasts longer than 40 years apparently.
