The USPS being down is the most unbelievable part of this situation' rain sleet or snow the USPS will go, legit seen USPS wading through swamps to get packages to people.

Someone once sent a package from NJ to MI with an NY return address. Priority Express. It went from NY to NJ where it sat for a few days after going through sorting facilities. It then went to a local PO in NY. Then it said it could not be delivered because the business was closed. The return address wasn’t even a business. It sat like that for another few days until I called MY local PO, the postmaster said he’d look in to it. He called

It's sad people get scammed this way. It's not how IRS works. My husband and I owed back taxes because we didn't know we had to pay taxes for social security. They sent a letter by regular mail and we worked out a payment plan. You don't buy gift cards. That's crazy. They don't call you on the phone or threaten to take your children. Plus, who says "USD"? No one in America says " USD". So many red flags. I don't understand how anyone could think this is legitimate.

it feels like its a bit fake to be honest. by simply clicking on a weblink can do much harm, no question, but gaining access to all their bank details is a bit of a stretch. i mean hackers would just do that, send out sh*tload of texts or emails and would wait for someone to click - no need even for a phishing site to “enter your card details” and even if just 1% of the users are clicking it would give a lot of data to gain access to these details. i mean… banks also do a lot of security checks on who logs in from where and would either reverse the transaction and/or block the user. good entertainment and definitely good scripting, but fairly convincrd that this was nothing but that. IF this was real then the money should go to either a charity or supporting scam victims, the fact that it does not and leaves it in the “trust of the bank” makes it even less believable. the bank would reverse the transfer as they dont want to participate in actual stealing and they would close the account as it is as malicious as the scammers themselves from the bank point of view. still, good fun - and enjoyed the show😊

It's probably intentionally bad so that people can't make out the bad accent or inauthentic background noise, making it harder for people to notice that it's an actor rather than a real scammer.
Seems like the video creator is lying to the audience about what he did to the scammer here. Or rather that the "scammer" is an actor working with the creator of the video, not an actual scammer. This makes particular sense because I've never heard of a scammer that sounds like this either. Nearly every single thing about what is being described and taking place in the video is suspicious. it feels like its a bit fake to be honest. by simply clicking on a weblink can do much harm, no question, but gaining access to all their bank details is a bit of a stretch. i mean hackers would just do that, send out sh*tload of texts or emails and would wait for someone to click - no need even for a phishing site to “enter your card details”
and even if just 1% of the users are clicking it would give a lot of data to gain access to these details.
i mean… banks also do a lot
of security checks on who logs in from where and would either reverse the transaction and/or block the user.
good entertainment and definitely good scripting, but fairly convincrd that this was nothing but that.
IF this was real then the money should go to either a charity or supporting scam victims, the fact that it does not and leaves it in the “trust of the bank” makes it even less believable. the bank would reverse the transfer as they dont want to participate in actual stealing and they would close the account as it is as malicious as the scammers themselves from

It's probably intentionally bad so that people can't make out the bad accent or inauthentic background noise, making it harder for people to notice that it's an actor rather than a real scammer.
Seems like the video creator is lying to the audience about what he did to the scammer here. Or rather that the "scammer" is an actor working with the creator of the video, not an actual scammer. This makes particular sense because I've never heard of a scammer that sounds like this either. Nearly every single thing about what is being described and taking place in the video is suspicious.
