Thanks for the video! I never really liked egg salad but my girlfriend recently bought plenty of eggs for another recipe before deciding against making it. I looked up different egg dishes on UA-cam and came across this video. This recipe is the perfect way to get rid of twelve dozen eggs. The only changes I've personally made is not using as much red onions, cooking the eggs just slightly under, and adding some garlic. My go to dish to make with the egg salad is a sandwich with pretzel buns, parmesan cheese, tomatoes, and some spring mix at the bottom. My girlfriend added just a little bit of truffle oil to the egg salad the other day and it was heavenly as well. Thanks for showing us your recipe again! It's one of my go to meals now.

I love the minimalist nature of your apartments decor and I also love that you use quality kitchen equipment as well as quality ingredients to prepare your meals (which is the most important). I took my boiled eggs and pulverized them with my pastry cutter like I always do (and my mother before me! lol) My husband loves egg salad but I dislike the mushy texture. Haha. That's funny with the pastry cutter! Sometimes habits and learned behavior (especially in the kitchen!) is a huge influence. But now you can try them a different way for yourself! Hope you enjoy Lori! x
You can use a pastry cutter without turning your eggs to mash. That's the tool I've always used and my egg salad is nice and chunky. I find that the key is to use a wide, shallow vessel instead of a small, crowded bowl. A 9x13 casserole dish works if you don't have a big work bowl.
Ok... I gave your recipe a try and OMG!!! literally, the BEST egg salad!!! I especially enjoyed chopping the eggs larger than usual and adding the red onions were just the right flavor and crunch combo. Thank you for sharing!!!
You can definitely eat it raw as well, but blanching makes it a little softer, easier to roll and milder in flavor. :) So happy you love my videos Christine! x

I have made this multiple times and it is loved in my house. I like to add just a tiny amount of agave nectar to it which just rounds it off. Sometimes I add a little pickle juice to it too. Yum!

Great recipe, thank you. You can use the same water in which your eggs have been cooling, crack them, put them back into the bowl then peel, you save water and you give time to the water to get inside the cracks so they peel in a breeze

I'm hoping for a warm Easter Sunday because I have another recipe for boiled eggs,pea salad. It's similar to your egg salad recipe, but you can use either thawed frozen peas or canned peas and you don't have to use a lot of mayo. I recommend using the canned peas because they allow more of the egg influence to stand out since the peas will be somewhat bland in flavor. But if you don't mind the sweetness of the frozen peas with the eggs, they'll work just as well. Happy Easter,Lisa, God bless you and your family 🐇🐣✝️
