Lockwood Cortex 🤮 Recall 1 Week After Install 😢 (✖﹏✖)

  • The newly installed lock seems to be functioning partially: the pin and card mechanisms are operational, but the spindle refuses to turn. Upon inspection, the lock appears loose, suggesting that the spindle isn't rotating. Additionally, the easy button doesn't appear to be effective. Despite removing and re-testing the battery, the issue persists. Interestingly, the lock did work for a brief period following installation. The customer attempted to set a new code as instructed, which may have contributed to the problem.

    I so enjoyed organising the returns for NZ when I worked at ASSA, what a fun time each call was then. My fave was the quick release handle

    That makes me nervous I just fitted 530 models in a block of unit

    So what was the fix for this. Send the lock back to the manufacture as a defective lock or was there something that you could do about it onsite.?

      I fitted the Borg 5000 with scar plates on the door, we lost the key overide function, but its all i could do in a hurry to get the client locked up and happy using a code & 3572
