People do realise the band is under the age of 20, new on the scene, just got a number one record, and have a very original sound. Don't judge them purely on a cover, go listen to some of their original material. Actually got some good new music coming out and people just want to put it down. The Lathums are fantastic already, imagine what they'll be in ten years.

Absolutely. They are from my town. Saw then last July supporting The beautiful South.......they were amazing.
Got so much alcalde already from some of the music worlds famous icons ,so for me in the words of John working class heroes is something to be and they certainly are 😄👌🏼

For those slating em or saying they're shit, you should see them live in front of an audience. One of the best live bands around at the moment especially considering they're relatively small.

Saw these lads open for Keane last night at the O2. They were absolutely brilliant. So many great songs and they sound great

Quality band The Lathums.
Brilliant to hear that indie sound again, I can here The Smiths and The Housemartins in there which is just fantastic.
They have some great songs of their own and the youth now finally have something decent to listen to.
Im 51, have been a huge music listener for a lifetime and love this band.
Absolutley loved this version and have been introduced to "The Lathums"....will check out more of their music....

Saw them last November when they supported Kasabian. I'd never heard of them before not a note of music. They're young lads and bloody good, I think their sorted, getting on their feet and know what to do, how to do it while enjoying it and they deserve it. What a voice he's got, you must hear them live ✌

Brilliant band, some tracks remind me of early Teardrop Explodes brilliant music from such a young band . The should cover Second Head from the Teardrops
This is fantastic. The lead singer is a mix of a 1990's Morrissey and young Phil Vickery.
The point of a cover is to make it sound similar or your own spin on it, not the worst I’ve heard

All the old men you talk about were exposed a whole lot of much better music than today's youngster. Not only was eighties music better there was a lot of it too. But you like the song and you like the band so you definitely seem to know good music when you hear it.
Also covered by The View, seems indie music is doing a full circle since 2008
This is pretty decent
For every negative comment about these kids shows everything that is wrong with music these days,all about looks for some sadly,pathetic.These boys are musically talented and the frontman can sing so away and listen to your pretty boy bands and let us who actually enjoy music enjoy them.
Love the Lathums, not a fan of this song but they made the most of it. 👍🏼 And made it better
Good band tackling a difficult number and making a great job of it, only thing, OMG, the WRONG guitar for that number.

Great voice. However the front man lacks charisma which may be a barrier for them
It's not the best is it. Straight cover, but without the punch of the original or the bitter sweet vocal delivery. Can imagine it being down the local youth club.
The View cover of this is a lot better
