Barry Williams has had a long and successful career, recording several albums and touring with a number of Broadway musicals...even if he never achieved the stature that he had playing Greg Brady from 1969-1974 Maureen McCormick had quite a lovely voice as well; her only solo album was a country album that was widely panned by critics...BUT her vocals weren't too bad. She also played Rizzo in Grease on Broadway, and acquitted herself admirably on "There Are Worse Things I Could Do"...a LOT better than Rosie O'Donnell, that's for sure....😒

I was born in 1967, so I'm old enough to remember this, but I don't, and the plug got pulled pretty fast on this show, probably due to Robert Reed problems and poor ratings. And of course she's gorgeous, all the female Reischls are, it reminds me that God has a peculiar sense of humor.

And then you had the issue with them always trying to perform 70's pop music, and Florence's voice not being suited for such material. Shirley Jones had the same problem, although "The Whale Song" is gorgeous, and I wish they had Shirley sing more on the Partridge Family. Geri's vibrato is quite pronounced, and somewhat reminiscent of Tanya Tucker.

It's sad to see Fake Jan replacing Marcia. Marcia was always the female lead vocalist and she did a fantastic job at it too. It was probably due to all the drugs Marcia was consuming at the time of the show, I felt really sorry for her. I can't imagine what she was going through. And they all could tell at the time. But I'm proud that she's so open about it to help influence people how bad and life-ruining drugs are. I have nothing against fake Jan, I think her voice is amazing.

I've read that too...I'm a big BB guy (and Facts of Life too...) but can't seem to find any confirmation of it anywhere. She would definitely have been a bit too old for the part, and VERY different. I think Whelchel nailed it.
