I went to Chile in 2014 it was pretty safe, but looking back I was not using common sense carrying too much money. I needed to be smarter about traveling. Thank god I was not robbed, I am sorry that this situation happened to you.
Hi, I am also visit chile in 2019 santiago, sur de chile...etc. unfortunately i also stolen my bag ( passort, money ,laptop, education degrees) at Santiago bus terminal. That was very painfull moments in chile. I report to PDI station in Santiago. Thank to God and my wife after 2 days i find my hand bag without money. After that i re-booked air ticket and able to return home country.
Sayin the capital its safe is a big cap. Santiago is like a L.A + Chicago but more lay low stuff and the people do well hidin it, i say it with yeka experience im native to this land
No you doesn't deserve it but things happens to us and we learn from them. On my 2nd day on my vacation in Egypt I injured my foot and sole really badly with deep cuts. Ended up with 7 steches and landed up in a comfy 😅 wheelchair for the rest of my vacation. I did try use crutches but fainted from the pain qnd high fever what caused concassion 😅 But i was like F that im still going to enjoy my time .After 1 day in bed hyping my energy up I went ahead with my itinerary. So I was "racing " in Luxor(karnak ,hatshepsut)with my own chair , than hopped around at the walley of kings. I was not allowed to enter the sea pool but with some DIY clingfilm floating ring and 4 helping hand combo managed to enter the pool and keep the wounded banded area above water 😅
Ffs mate your a tourist in a country that you don't speak the language in ....im chilean and have lived in Scotland for 48 years you would stick out like a sore thumb in Glasgow and be lucky to wake up in your tent with all your cloths on.....im sorry this happened to you....even in Glasgow and Edinburgh I wouldn't have my wallet in my back pocket or walk about looking or talking on my phone
If you still like to move, I recommend you to avoid the southern parts of Santiago or any other big city from here. Those zones tend to be gang-infested areas and so does for drug addicts which are a bigger problem than the robberies itself take this advice from a chilean.
Change your page name to the F bomb traveller holy dude ! Every video from Chile your going on and on F this and that. Trying to learn stuff video is a waste of time
If I got robbed or bag stolen I dont think I would be flashing or recording with a camera and probably would have found a Canadian who probably would have sympathized with you and tried to sell your camera to them and buy it back in Canada
OMG you must have felt devastated and scared of having your identity stolen, also even more alone. Loving your videos and content.

Why do u walk around with a backback and 3000 cash and all ur cards?
Well...because I’m an idiot
Always good to forward some emergencies cash to Western Union before leaving to a country
