You can practice everywhere; look a bit further to horizon level , when u walk for instance to shop or whatever , and move ur head a bit from left to right , and then notice / get aware , u didnt think of anything / ur thoughts where gone , also then put smile on ur face. There are thoughts that give feelings but not in the heart ( lower) and these are worries , wich take urself out of the present. Then u look up... Etcetera , practice will make this more easy and common. Listening to yor own breath gives same exsperience.

You're exactly right on "hearing" - it is at the center of it all, at 7:36, 8:05: after Castaneda, the teachers that prevailed in the California/ Nevada deserts and the Sonoran, put their stress on "the Nagual attains through the other". But I learned this to the highest level from a French woman, Camille, in Besancon, in 2022, a beautiful blond and blue eyed woman who was not in any practice whatsoever. But, what she had was a most precious gift: she actually heard what you were saying by staying with what you were saying. She had no intention to say something back, to comment or appraise or give advice. Your words were kept by her, as if a treasure. When expressing my fear, pain, sorrow, loss, or joy, she let it be the last and only communication. She was with me to the soul. Then there was silence and we attained in the Nagual. After 50 years in those deserts and many teachers like Don Juan who walked in the Nagual, some who became my friends, it is this French woman who was the best teacher! It is far greater than "practice" or "compassion". And much simpler! However, it is not the only way, the awakening into "Mutual Time" is another. The solo approach has not worked. And our society has degenerated. Today, there may not even be any teachers left. The last time there were mighty teachers in those regions that I know of, was 2003.

In the preface to Journey to Ixtlan,Carlos said the first two books were based on an incorrect premise, that the use of power plants were key to the unfoldment of consciousness. He said that Don Juan told him later that he had to use them on him to jolt his assemblage point from its habitual location. In the newer editions of The Teachings of Don Juan,a Yaqui Way of Knowledge, the preface goes into an excellent description of the assemblage point, which of course is invaluable to understand as everything in life hinges on the location of the assemblage point!

Thank you for posting this, Castaneda had so much wisdom and those with this kind of wisdom always get demonized by society (the essence of the Tonal, I suppose!) Thanks especially for noting that tapping into the Nagual (pronounced- Nah-WAHL) is not dependent on drugs. I believe hallucinogens can be a sort of starting point to reveal the door to higher consciousness. But to walk through it consciously and transform in a lasting way, we have to learn to get back to that door from a clear waking state.

Really good to see helpful attention being given to Castaneda’s work in UA-cam form. For me Don Juan and Castaneda’s revealing of him brought to our modern world that precious late Shamanic period where the necessity of right action was fully understood to be absolutely necessary. Don Juan called it being impeccable. I feel that realisation is what made the breakthrough to the Axial age (Jasper’s 800-300BC) possible. For example the Buddha’s realisation wrong actions always lead to suffering. Perhaps more important the late shamanic period was still a time where each seeker had to make his or her own way exercising agency at every turn while navigating the infinite. It is well to regain that ancient ability with which we are born.

One thing you could learn that would help to convey these ideas better is the value of pause in speech. It is the same as music, that when there is not enough space between sounds it all can get jumbled together. Form and emptiness in balance is the secret of the Taoist way.

What you are hearing is an automated speech generator. It is not a human being. It takes text and converts it to spoken word. That's all. There is no inflection, there is no emphasis on different parts of the sentence, etc. You are hearing a robot voice and that is why there are no pauses in between sentences and there also are incorrectly pronounced words.

Nice. A new channel and the 2nd video is of Carlos Castaneda's Magical Attention! 🙂
According to Castaneda, the most significant facts in a person's life are his possession of awareness and its impending termination at death. The primary goal of a Toltec "Warrior" is the continuation of his awareness after bodily death: to "dart past the Eagle and be free", in the words of the tradition, where the Eagle is the force which consumes the awareness of all living beings.

Are you sure you understand it ,Castaneda himself did not . DonJuan said he didnt but he came very close .
It was in a state of heightened awareness that DonJuan explained the 6Truths to Carlos ,which of course he immediately forgot about when he was back in normal awareness .
I am afraid the struggle to understand never stops .When l met Castaneda he told me didnt understand .Of course the moral philosophy involved he understood perfectly . In other words he understood what made human beings tick to perfection .

Castaneda fictionalized slightly at times to give continuity and harmony to his writings in order to make it presentable in a a proper fashion to the reader but he never in any way whatsoever faslefied the mastery of awareness .He just did his best to draw a proper picture of the philosophy, which he had to work hard to retrieve from his elusive state of heightened awareness .
To say that Carloss work is a work of fiction is the thinking of a complete moran , of which there are millions no doubt out there ,and are only too ready to show their stupidity to the world ,but this type of thinking should not deter the seeker of the Truth ,whether that seeker is a Rabbi ,a Priest or a Monk or as donJuan liked to call himself ,a Warrior on the Path of Knowledge 💚

The bottom line is to STOP THE INTERNAL DIALOGUE. Then release your Energy Body and fly fly away. The more you do the closer you get to other energy levels. If you find a mentor at this stage you are the "lucky one". Many don't.😢

Excellent explanation. Perception changes only when we open the mind to understanding. Once open awareness sets in and balance can be achieved. Once balance is achieved, we are one with all, and our perspectives change. Once we have accepted the awareness, we perceive truth and can experience peace. Realizing that we are the perfect balance of all opposite forces, held together by expansion and contraction, we must simply maintain the balance to remain in tune. Reading is great, but seeing is change, which brings understanding.

Grew up reading Castaneda, even considered him a personal mentor/guide as a teenager (though I hadn't actually met him, he had jumped into the Abyss a few years prior); read all his books, read them again, and even though I could *feel* something of substance was there - *I could never quite understand it*.
Fast forwards 30 years, a lifetime of spiritual growth, crazy happenings and lost wandering and I discovered and disseminate the words and wisdom of Neville Goddard throughout my system, and NOW the secrets of 'inner silence', the 'assemblage point', 'not doing' and other such concepts, are finally making tangible sense.

I am very familiar with Carlos Castaneda and his books , I fact I love his knowledge and the teachings in the books and in other related writings about him . I have not heard about those teachings mentioned in this video so I was wandering where the information and or documentation of those teachings came to light or where made public and by whom. It would make for a nice addition to the already amazing knowledge he brought to the world. Those awareness teachings are really the same as in the books but organised in a different way . Attention and intent are related but not the same . One must intent attention. And therefore attention comes from the spirit .

Eastern philosophies actually define compassion the same way as empathy is defined here. Whatever you call it, the path of divine love is true regardless of culture.

most of the Buddhist practicioners can't handle /not the truth 🤭/ but their own feelings! It's like a mess.

@@antalperge1007 . Maybe due to them not observing their own mind clearly except when they are meditating, and then suppressing thoughts-feelings in mistaken meditation. Also, thinking that they have attained wisdom when they have only understood the words, and have not done the practice with the intention to be self-aware.

The secret to Castaneda is that a girlfriend of his gave him a Neville Goddard book. As much as I love Nevilles' work, the Trickery of Spirit lead me to Dõn Carlos first. Plus, he's the better writer of the two, regardless if it was all "true" or not. High school sucked and his books got me through it.

I saw a documentary once I'm pretty sure it was about the Cogi Indians of South America. When a woman becomes pregnant she goes into a darkened cave with a helper. They stay there in darkness until the baby is born. And then stay in the cave in darkness and isolation for another for another 10 months. I think during this time the baby has a chance to experience it's inner self, the inner world, with no distractions. A chance that most of us never had, being immediately bombarded with the things of this world the moment we are born.

I think when most scriptures refer to the Earth they are referring to the whole of the physical experience or Universe. The Universe is the being which appears to be evolving and of which we are an inseparable part. I prefer fusion philosophy like East meets West cuisine with a leaning towards overcoming the world as opposed to seeking to liberate ourselves from it. I don't believe it's possible to separate ourselves from it with the short evidence being that we are not separated from it presently. 🔯⚛️⚕️
