also i meant to upload this yesterday but my video editor glitched out and corrupted the file :,)

Sometimes you get that lesson where you barely practiced and somehow played it good, hits different
Ikr, I intentionally put etudes on the back burner and don't look at them for like half a year and then come back to them
And sometimes you get that lesson where you spent hours upon hours practicing and honing your technique, and yet, it still manages to sound like you are touching the piano for the first time in your life. Hits different, too, but not in a good way.
This is literally me lmaoooo you have to use like 150% of your brain power to sight read the piece 💀
@@chesebro6745 ikr 💀
@@zord90x58 OMG IKR, i swear its every instrument. a few years back i actually played banjo. so anyways one day i had a lesson where i had practiced quite a bit but then literally could not play the song. then I DIDNT PRACTICE THE NEXT WEEK AND PLAYED IT PERFECT AT THE NEXT LESSON.
This video has made me realize how good my current piano teacher is. He’s never rough on me and is very easygoing, I appreciate him a lot. My old piano teacher didnt really get me too engaged in the piano and make me learn the history about the pieces or the tempo and dynamics, and for that reason I think I would slack off more (its also worth noting I was younger then, so it might’ve been partly my fault-). I now enjoy the piano and music in general WAY more(often I’m very excited to have the lesson), I like playing more piano outside of practicing my homework, and it just goes to show how important teachers are. If you are never engaged, you’ll never play as well as you could be playing.
pretty much describes my journey, except I stopped for a few years in between
Omg same thing happened to me! I got a new teacher and he is literally so good my previous teachers weren’t really good :(
Same xd
My piano teacher is overly easygoing and doesn't react even I don't practice AT ALL! She just doesn't care about students and never really concentrate on the lessons.
I'm from Hong Kong and it's nice to meet you guys ;)
You missed the part where he stares out the window and rambles on about not knowing why he left his great motherland and came to work in a country filled with softies and hollow western beliefs.
highly specific
Are you okay?..
Exactly fr mine is from Russia I’m in germany
@@RogueBS1 for me its Russian in Serbia
Also a heavy drinker and beats his wife
297 years and Mr. Mo has to tape his own moustache to keep it. What a man.
Mr. Mo played the piece before it was even composed. Seems like Chopin copied something! 🤭
Levels 1 and 4 are surprisingly accurate
Ikr
Even 3
@@tommasobego4816 true
@Treble Clef omg so true
I see a lot of foreshadowing for chopin ballade no 1 to be the next performance. This video was so entertaining too! Piano teachers are intimidating 🤣
I swear all piano teachers are like certified ling lings with the power of Asian parents
It’s literally my favorite song of all time so… I’m really looking forward to it!!
@@_Hammy_ "sOnG iT'S A piEcE" -every random person on the internet
Then there's the lesson where you practice a lot at home and you think you've made a lot of progress, then you come to class and it all goes out the window...
aaah i love this piece i hope you upload a full version of it!!
Same
What piece? What’s the name of it? He played like six pieces in this vid. LMAO
@@weizheng1037 it’s all one piece Chopin ballade no 1
@@weizheng1037 its all the same piece
@@JonathanC-fe3vv oh ok sorry, it just sounded different sowry
number 4 is accurate... my piano teacher will go on about how a specific note in the piece needs to be more emotional or like an orchestra and more like something or whatever, and i try my best to understand what exactly she wants but then she finally just told me to hold a specific note a bit longer and it all made sense.. idk why she didnt just say that the first time tho :(
I agree
Because music is about intentions
Music is essentially positive emotional damage.
Everyone watching this video that has ever played this piece knew EXACLY what number 5 was gonna be.
I haven't even in the 3rd page but I somehow got that
@@heisentchopin's first ballade. The coda was CRAZY 😭
"It was an ok first step...towards being ok". I'll have to use that line sometime :D
felt level 3 especially with that section 😫
getting the opening perfect was definitely the hardest part to understand when i was cleaning the piece up for performance
Teacher: you see, the music is like fractal trees...
Also teacher: these marker fumes are making me feel a certain way...
Ahhhh of course.
Bro, you described perfectly how my piano lessons are, but it motivates even more to practice and the success feels much better when the teacher agrees with your interpretation in the end.
As someone who has a russian piano teacher, i see this very relatable
With students being so busy and having distractions like video games, I’m just happy when they practice and can pay the correct notes with the correct rhythm. Baby steps.
I used to practice for 8 hours a day. Then I shattered my ulnar nerve, had to spend a year retraining my left hand to function somewhat normally and now can't play longer than 15 minutes before my hand inevitably cramps up very, VERY painfully! Ah, also two of my fingers are numb forever so I can't play as accurately or as fast or as well ever again.
Go easy on the practice is what I'm saying.
"No practice, no video" That's great. That earned this video a like. Good thing I already practiced today so I'm going to watch another video.
So much fun to watch how you make fun off and fun with your amazing piano skills.
I love your style of playing and the pieces you pick ! Found your channel through your amazing Rush E performance. Subbed, can't wait to see more of your beautiful works!
Such a relatable video! I used to have this teacher who taught me to do way too many hand movements when playing. A few years ago, when I moved, I kept having to fix my technique, such a pain
This is the piece I'm learning right now. For sure one of my favorites. Great performance also😍
Thank you for starting more consistent uploads again! I missed your videos so much ❤️❤️
4:28 I really like the interpretation of this section.
Lmao i love how accurate this is with my teacher, step four is insanely accurate. My teacher said something like: You are in an empty forest with no colours, try to give the trees colour so that the little animals can spawn and eat each other up. And i was like what the fa-👁👄👁 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
My teacher is literally no.4
LMAO
Take me straight back to my childhood. Really funny stuff. You rock.
simply the best !! love love love !!
*I haven't practice this piece in about 297 years* 😂
i’m just appreciating that everything the teacher said was un-ironically accurate despite the satire
Woah, I didn't you were a piano prodigy besides making great puzzles! :) This is great!
He's making things sound and look too easy to play and at the same time He's so good
Love the video man, fantastic playing too
I have been blessed, even when i dont practice for an entire week, i clutch tf up in my lesson and i play a lot better than last week😭
your playing skills are so goals.
the whole "music should be like a fractal" is unironically good advice
Damn loving your content.
Gotta go practice now ! I have the Mortiz Moszkowski Tarantella for this summer before I move onto the 6th grade of piano!
As someone who has taken lessons for years ... and then started teaching my own ... I have been on both sides of this haha.
i'm so so lucky to have such a nice and good teacher, i'm just realising from watching videos like these lmao
Sameeee
Wonderful Wonderful. So exciting and entertaining for piano lovers and players. Young and old too!
BRUH THIS IS EXACTLY ALL PIANO TEACHERS LIKE WTF LAUGH SO MUCH AT THIS OF HOW LEGIT THIS IS SFSLFKSGL ASHGOOT 2LHL J underrated
Genius! well done!
HOW IS THIS SO INSANELY ACCURATE
This is so fucking relatable it should be a crime.
lets goo another upload
Hahaha! Beautiful playing as always 🙌🏻✌🏻
Loved it!
underrated youtuber
Clicked for the content, subbed for the ending
There was this one time where I went to my piano teacher for practice on January 25th and didn't attend another practice until May 11th; my teacher still expected me to play as if I was only gone for a week
(it was because of covid)
Piece is Ballade No. 1 in G minor by Chopin
Love this 😂💖
don't you guys just hate it when you play the piece perfectly and then when the teacher tells you to play it again you just mess up.
I love your videos lol
This is amazing
me play ''bad for me "
My teacher : you did great ! you improved a lot bravo
This is so accurate that it’s scary …
It’s ironic cuz I’m practicing this piece rn, and it’s amazing how he can play that. I’m 14 so I need a bit of help, so maybe a full version with comments on interpretation at the bottom would help
what's more amazing is that you're 14 and you're practicing this
I'm 14 and practicing this as well! There are some good tutorials on UA-cam, like this one by Paul Barton
m.ua-cam.com/video/Eud5gKZgZgY/v-deo.html
Anyways, good luck
@@regionalatme I agree lmao, Ive been taking lessons since like 4, Im 14 now too and Im in the middle of liebestraum (which is no easy piece by any means). Ballade is also a piece I really wanna learn one day, but its just way too hard for me rn.
@@yos_k Same I'm 14 and on Un Suspiro. Liszt is great 🥲
@@yos_k i'm almost 16 and started when i was 6 so it's like the same situation, ballade is still a dream for me. good luck with liebestraum!
So true about start of 1st ballade! I had the same situation with my teacher
When you’re learning the piece from the video and you realize you haven’t practiced today 😂
LMAO i've actually had that hour-lesson on the opening of this piece, it's so rough when your teacher starts talking about your TONE bro put it in words pl e a s e
Pls upload the full version
I'm so glad he's uploading more often
teacher demonstration is so accurate
Am I the only one who respects a teacher who is a little tougher on their students? 🤣
Woah woah, I see another Chopin bop coming!!!!
I laughed through most of this video!🤣
Why can I relate so much to this
Level four with my teacher is like: imagine it's a garden, and you can't stomp on the flowers you gotta water them. How?? With my tears????
Obviously these are over the top but some of these are quite relatable
This is so relatable
I actually quite love practicing the Ballade no. 1 Coda.
As a College pianist this is TRUE!!!!!!!! in our private class lol.
5:52. Well, I guess this means you're going to have to learn "Kitten On The Keys" now so you can prove your teacher wrong!😂
this is so accurate my teacher sight read revolutionary for the 'quick demonstration'
too much relatable lol fr fr
Ah yes.. Learning Chopins first ballade with my teacher... I can so relate with the teachers pain
Excellent 😅👏👏
Did you major in piano? How did you become so good at it?!!
Why was I so happy when he said well done 😭
the moustache 😂😂
When I haven't practiced, I just try to talk about nonsense and prolong the conversation as much as possible.
This piece gives me trauma (I have exam for this in less than a month pls :sobbing:)
Good luck!! You'll do great!
Mr. Mo scares me.
Imagine your teacher giving you ballade no. 1
Mustache finally falls off after 297 years lol
i was so legit so proud of myself when I remembered what the sierpinski figure was from art class
My teacher once said i played the piece like how a piano teacher would....i was beyond ecstatic and proud of myself
SOOO RELATABLE 😂😂😭😭
Absolutely accurate
My piano is Russian and wonderful she always says play louder and makes it fun to learn.
Your piano is russian? Does it makes drunk sounds?
Lol "like a lasagne" got me
I never admitted to not practicing lol, I just sighted the entire thing.
Is there a performance you have done of this ballade
Marker fumes are da best
“You’re not sitting on the edge of the bench enough” “straighten your back and shoulders more”
Level 3 is too relatable
ayyy i’m practicing this piece too😄i love the coda but my right hand literally gets stretched in five directions every single time i play it
The trick is to spend less effort "stretching," and think instead about centering your wrist over the most comfortable position at any moment. The coda is certainly tricky, but it's a real trap for pianists who haven't mastered the kind of technique needed to play, say, op. 10 no. 1.
What is the piece called?
@@trein3470 Ballade no. 1 in G Minor, Opus 23
This is so accurate haha
4 cannot be more true I stg my teacher describes the feel of the piece so abstractly
