Man alive! Could anybody play boogie like Freddie could? I could be wrong, but I think he pumped energy into his playing in a unique way that nobody else could match :)
+Don Benham Yeah, it's curious to say the least that all of Will's close-ups are during ensemble passages - I guess the lindy hopper belting his shoulders in rhythm and the 2 cuties standing behind Slack's deemed precedence to the editor. ;)

I love this band. Great to see the aerial shot of Freddie's hands. Michael "Peanuts" Hucko on the tenor solo. Super job you did on this one.
+Trombonology Erstwhile Thanks - I thought about annotating Peanuts' solo, but decided against it for fear of distraction.
More! More!
Thank God for 'youtube' that was great thanks Mark.
+John Ferguson You bet, John - yeah, that's the kind of big band I live for, for sure.
Cool to see dancer Gene Nelson (known as Gene Berg at the time) dancing with his wife Miriam, famed Hollywood choreographer!
Recorded commercially on Columbia as "This Little Icky Went To Town."
Yeah, let's boogie!
Excellent !
I don't mind the playlist stuff.
Happy to see your videos :) greets from the netherlands.
FANTASTIC !
Very cool- interesting they don't show Will during his trombone solo....
