Sure. An AC 3-phase alternator is an electrical machine that converts mechanical energy into electrical energy in the form of alternating current (AC). It has three sets of windings, called phases, that are arranged 120 degrees apart. When the rotor, which is the rotating part of the alternator, is spun by a prime mover, such as a gasoline engine or a turbine, it creates a rotating magnetic field. This rotating magnetic field induces an AC current in each of the stator windings. The magnitude and frequency of the output current are determined by the speed of the rotor and the number of turns in each of the stator windings.
The main components of an AC 3-phase alternator are:
Rotor: The rotor is the rotating part of the alternator. It is made of a ferromagnetic material, such as iron or steel, and has a number of poles, which are projections that create the rotating magnetic field.
Stator: The stator is the stationary part of the alternator. It has three sets of windings, which are arranged 120 degrees apart.
Rotor field winding: This winding is used to create the rotating magnetic field. It is usually connected to an external DC source.
Stator winding: This winding is where the AC current is induced. It is usually connected to the load circuit.
Bearings: The bearings support the rotor and allow it to spin freely.
Cooling system: The cooling system removes heat from the alternator, which is generated by the friction of the rotor and the stator windings.
The working principle of an AC 3-phase alternator is based on the principle of electromagnetic induction. When a conductor is placed in a changing magnetic field, an electric current is induced in the conductor. The rotating magnetic field of the rotor induces an AC current in the stator windings. The magnitude and frequency of the output current are determined by the speed of the rotor and the number of turns in each of the stator windings.
AC 3-phase alternators are used in a variety of applications, including:
Power generation: AC 3-phase alternators are used to generate electricity for commercial and industrial use.
Machine drive: AC 3-phase alternators are used to drive machinery, such as motors and pumps.

Hi,I have 3phase alternator and each time I load 70% of 80amp the machine change sound and eventually trip, does it mean some diodes are burnt or the exciter winding is burnt
Thank you very much sir
Good information Vedo

thank you so much
I can test voltage produced by generator with 3 phase and one generator.
BRAVO 👏
Does the exciter stator have polarity?
What's happens if we connect de output of the AVR to the exciter stator to the reverse?
So nice thanks sir
Most welcome
Where does the main stator winding get the Voltage before getting to the AVR for excitation
A capacitor provides the voltage to charge the coil windings.

Good 👍👍👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Does main shift I have permanent magnetic
Assalamualaikum. Brother.. Please explain Synchronization of generator in practical
Hello brother why it is the main stator loss of sensing volts going to avr?
Please explain static excitation system for alternators
Ok 👌
On Which simulation tool your working to do this ?
How the diod work
Hi, I've been watching your videos. I recently purchased a used 3p generator. The previous owners took the voltage selector out of it so currently it only produces 120/240. Do you have a video that will explain how to wire a voltage selector?

Get an AVR , that will solve the problem
How are diodes connected?
Why use DC current in main router?
for excitation Where does the main stator winding get the Voltage before getting to the AVR
A capacitor provides the voltage to charge the coil windings.
My question is maybe you have answered but allow me to ask again...where does AVR get operational power from..
This is not the sensing voltage as we would assume that the circle will begin by AVR supplying power to the exciter stator winding
Residual magnetism is stored to built up initial sensing voltage
Hi! Bro good day how to test that initial sensing voltages?
When the exciter rotor fails to induce magnetic field to a main rotor?
