Thank you! Im new to mlb 22 the show (and 50), so the hitting tips are really helpful to me (not as quick as i used to be, lol).
Man I’m trynna get my dad into video games. What should I tell him to make it more appealing
@@kaimililly8297 really up to him. Im basically a 50yr old 12 year old. Im a sports nut so i love playing this & madden. I love the building of teams, etc. Find something that interest him, ya never know.
@@kaimililly8297 just tell him to try. Ask him what he likes but try to ask him like there are games for that thing he likes. Cars? Nfs. Shooting? Cod, apex. Rpg type games? Warhammer, Citadel, open world games like Fo76. Im getting older myself and Im not naturally good at games and I have a hard time practicing to actually get better, so I like creative games. I still try to play competitivly but I usually hit a wall in ranked stuff. Nobody likes to lose and when you realize you suck at a game new to you, but has been around for years it can be so discouraging to new players. Just remind him to tough it out and watch tutorials and try to apply them. Some games dont really need all that though.

I struggle so much with the PCI. I always seem to send it so high or so low when the ball is right down the middle 🥴

I’m most certainly not the best player in the world but I’ve been having the same issue. The fix to this is starting in the middle. Also be very patient at the plate it’s ok to take pitches
What helped me is when i you see the pitcher release start looking for a break in the ball, if it doesnt seem to breaking or declining dont touch your analog, or place your pci slightly above default position and watch for the break
It takes time brotha, I’ve struggled a lot . But w time you start to understand it more and more
@@joeyfennelly6617 I was struggling the most when leaving my pci in the middle , I now started to move pci just a smidgen up before the pitch and my thumb does the work from there , it’s a strange feeling at the start but I promise that it does help , a lot of UA-camrs or content creators do it

It’s my first time playing the Show in many years and I am struggling hard at batting. I’m constantly super early. The challenge with Babe Ruth is exceptionally hard since he is throwing thrower than the modern guys!
I’ve played the show for three years and I still suck at hitting. You will get better though if you just keep playing.
@@ajm2475 Thanks for the comment! While I struggle with hitting, I really like the pinpoint pitching mode. My improvements in that over the past few days has been dramatic.
I struggle vs every pitch, every location, every pitcher. I got this game but I’m just so bad that I feel like refunding. It’s just tracking the ball in general. I can’t even hit fast balls down the middle

13:07 so this. Watched Tmartin once and he did that. So i copied as I struggled. It helped but anything inside would hurt me. Plus I still would suck because if the ball dropped, I'd drop my PCI faster and all tje way onto the bottom.
1st video from you, trying it your way. My eyes are too sh!tty to move it correctly, been aiming better tho, but since you mentioned the PCI thing, my god I am in love. Never knew that is what that was used for. Been playing since day 1 and just decided on looking at tips again. Thanks for your vid, your way and the PCI locked way have opened the door, now its about training/playing with them

But when I practice with all pitches in the zone it makes me a second to late when in a game. That fraction of a second to decide whether it's a ball or a strike makes me late on fastballs.

I've always remembered using the analog for hitting. Bring it back the forward. I'll definatley try these setting. Haven't played in years. The batting view is so dif you have also. I like seeing the batter cocktail back. But hey practice

Just started today and this video helps a lot !!!
I legit thought this year the game was altering my pci placement and just saying I hadnt moved to the ball.. then looked at something that said to switch my tv to game mode on.. I was having so much input delay just cause my tv mode wasnt set for gaming.. Ive spent so much time and money trying to get my accuracy in multiple games down and THIS was what was holding me back.. bought new controllers, a new xbox, grips, etc.. when I switched to game mode on, my pci can do the super quick flicks down and actually pick it up, before the only way I could smash off pitches was to get to the spot way before before and swing on time.. now I can adjust and swing quick enough to play HoF..it wasnt really possible with how much input lag I had..it would just show my pci where it was before the pitch despite me pushing down hard before swinging. Make sure if your using a TV it is set to GAME MODE.I dont really have a place to setup monitor atm unless I totally rearranged my whole situation. Game mode on could save you a lot of trouble on a tv. Oh btw when I do custom practice and only do strikes.. when i swotch back to real games.. zi basically trained myself to swing all the time.. definitely need to get some practice with mixdd pitches at least for me or ill swing at all the trash in the world thinking i can hit everything. What I did when my lag was bad was anchor my pci low and hold it high in the zone this way im on top of the high ones and if it went low.. i woukd just let go and bam Im there for the low balls.. was really the only way to hit on the hi difficulties with that lag and is actually a good strat. But ive moved back to just reacting from center.
