I missed the beginning of the show but came in and heard the excitement. I'm like, "it must've been good if Hard8 is hyped, he's usually saying these events are gobage". I check in everyone else's stream and it's like they're all disappointed.

this show wasn't trash, they show wolverine, spider-man, god of war, forspoken, eve project, kotor remake, and those are for the most part where the general people would agree, everything else would come down to preferences. the show was good. and good enough is the height of these shows.

Xbox guy here. I whole heartedly agree about MS needing to step up the quality of their overall 1P game studios drastically. As you’ve said, they (Xbox) have numerous studios to choose from, but as we all know, quantity doesn’t always correlate to quality. This is is a lesson I think MS needs to understand and overcome quickly if they want to stay relevant amongst hardcore gamers.
They should revive some classics like legacy of Kain and things of that nature. Or seek out some of the smaller devs like the ones behind the Journey to the west game.
The quality of games the newly acquired studious output under MS will be very telling in terms of whether they took heed to that aforementioned lesson.
Gamepass equals mid. If you want quality you have to pay.
@@jimgoose4877 Not necessarily. Microsoft just has to hit it’s stride with 1P IP’s. Which takes time to accomplish. This is literally the first time in their existence in the gaming realm that they’ve put a HEAVY focus on first party studios, instead of timed exclusives. Which is something to applaud in of itself. The problem then becomes ensuring the games being output are top tier quality. Sony has had years to perfect their craft in that regard. I recall the first uncharted game not being that good. Yet the iterations that followed are nothing short of masterpieces.
Give MS sometimes to hone their craft in terms of 1P-IP’s and then mention game pass to me.
@@MarkyMarq Xbox are just going in a different direction (service based) there’s nothing wrong with it just don’t except the same quality of product as Sony’s.
@@jimgoose4877 You’re correct. Sony is taking a traditional approach, whilst Microsoft is indeed headed in the opposite direction than Sony. Which is why Phil is hunting like a madman trying to acquire publishers and studios to ensure the service stays afloat. If all they have to offer is mediocre games the service will fail. They’re looking for undeniable talent/quality help push the service, not kill it. Which lead to the acquisition of Bethesda to cover the western RPG front. Which why I also think they’ll continue acquire big publishers in the near future. I wouldn’t be surprised if they etched out a deal or acquired a studio that makes yearly sports games of some sort. They want to be the Disney gaming. Are the goals feasible? Quite possibly as they have the capital for it. We shall see I guess.
From my understanding of Phil’s plans, he wants those fantastic single player narrative driven experiences as well as the RPGS, yearly sports games, J-RPG games, etc. he wants game pass to be a one stop shop for all your quality gaming needs. Not just a bargain bin for gaming.

We still waiting for more PS5 stock in the Netherlands. After a couple of yrs, I really want a PS again, to play Battlefield and other games. But it's been so hard to find a store that sells the freaking PS5, man. Idk what is going on with that, but it's been over a year and still stores can't get a normal amount of them to sell.
They be selling the games and all PS5 accessories, but they still can't promise that the console will be available to this day.
