      Yeah and that’s the trap! Coz the night before when you set an alarm you know you HAVE to get up otherwise you’ll sleep in lol

    Mel robbins said its scientifically proven that snoozing or several alarms set you up for failure because it alters the mindset for procastination. I wake up at 5 half of the week but you reminded me to wake up at 5 everyday

    Thank you for this realistic morning routing without crazy studying directly after waking up :) Also you got it right, yoga and meditation for night owls in the morning can lead to falling back to sleep :D I am such a night owl and currently starting to eliminate the snooze function.. in couple weeks I will try to go earlier to bed and wake up earlier each day :)

    • @Dr.Nellah
      @Dr.Nellah  5 років тому

      Yeahh I’m too much of a night owl to directly start studying in the morning, it would not be productive at all. But he’s one step at a time is the best way coz. It might not work if you try do it all at once. I hope you will manage it 💪🏾💪🏾

      (Thanks for replying 😱)Oh well that makes perfect sense
      The system is quiet different in my country /uni ...it's a bit hard to sleep at that time since the only time to read is usually between 7pm-12am roughly ...it's like the most suitable time (so being a morning person means waking up like at 3 then,that's if one is to sleep between 9-10pm)

      Hey I should have mentioned in the video lol but I go to bed between 9-10pm ☺️

  • @Hd-ez2eq
    @Hd-ez2eq 5 років тому

    Really good video and advices.
    I've been trying to be a morning person for way too long, my main problem is that:
    1. If I don't get my 8hours of sleep, i basically am a potato for the whole day (and since I'm a premed student, I really don't want to screw up a whole day)
    2. I need 1hour to 1 and a half to fall asleep. That's a lot, and if i want to wake up at 6am, i' would need to go to bed at 9pm. Can't afford that lmao
    So my main question is, how do you achieve to wake up early and having a good night when you get trouble to fall asleep?

    • @Dr.Nellah
      @Dr.Nellah  5 років тому +1

      Why can’t you afford to go to sleep at 9pm?
      Also you have to think about your goal, is your goal just to wake up early or is it for productivity or is it to have more time? If you need to just do tasks then you don’t have to wake up early, you can just do those tasks in the evening instead of the morning. If you want to have more time then I suggest waking up early. 9pm-5am is your 8hrs if sleep. So maybe work on falling asleep faster you can try breathing exercises or listening to calm music, not going on your phone/avoiding blue light. Read a book before bed etc anything to make your brain relax

    • @Dr.Nellah
      @Dr.Nellah  5 років тому +2

      Also If you force you force yourself to wake up early one day even if you didn’t get the full 8hrs sleep. You’ll have one crappy day yes where you’re tired etc but then it resets your sleep pattern (as long as you don’t nap during the day) so you’re guaranteed to be tired and go to sleep by 9/10pm

    • @Hd-ez2eq
      @Hd-ez2eq 5 років тому

      @@Dr.Nellah thank of so much for your fast reply!
      (Quick answer on why 9pm is a lil bit too early for me: I have mock exams 3 times a week and i usually am at home arround 9:30)
      I'll try to work on my sleep pattern, but I think my main issue - as you pointed out - is that my brain needs to relax because i already tried to wake up at 6 or 7 and not minding the amount of sleep i get, but it wasn't really effective... In facts i had a crappy afternoon, but it was still impossible for me to fall asleep haha!
      Anyways i'm defitively suscribing! I'll probably binge watch your vids asap
