Why is everyone in England rioting?

- After the horrific murder of three children earlier this week in Southport, an entire community mourned.
Not even a day had passed before the far-right had latched on to the incident to spout Islamophobia, xenophobia and outright racism before descending on the streets of Southport and subsequently starting a riot.
Since then communities across the United Kingdom have been on tenterhooks as similar right-wing demonstrations take place, consciously targeting ethnic minority groups. Demos all week have swiftly turned violent and some have descended into riots.
We spoke to experts in the field this week to find out: why do English people riot?

It's because this one involves foreigners.

What annoys me is that the riots are never directed at who/what they should be. Its always innocent shop keepers for example. People should be smashing down the gates to downing st, not smashing up some old boys corner shop! Its self harm in the end and the real perpetrators carry on laughing
No one should be smashing anything ... no violence ... political protests can make their point by the numbers involved in marches and made by the good behaviour of the protesters.

There's evidence to suggest the guy was radicalised and wanted to bring about a "Rwandan style" genocide as retribution. Not a Muslim, indeed, but a radical nonetheless. The reason is really poverty but as usual the trigger is foreigners as they are used by farage badenoch etc for their own purposes. The real discontent though is hopeless poverty.
With higher cost of living, but Tommy and farage are paid by the bankers and foreign corporations to do this 😂.
You are right poverty plays a factor but when you see article after article, crime after crime of black, muslim, immigrant attacks year after year you start to see a pattern. Look at the wiki article just on terror attacks in the last few years, look at the grooming gangs in rochdale, look at the cross bow attack and solider stabbing just in the last couple months! Tell me with a straight face you can't see a link. Please don't get me wrong these are small fractions of a wider peaceful community but when people come to countries very different to their own there WILL be cultural issues and increased isolation.
And look at all the crimes committed by British people over the past few years - are those all linked? Should we all be collectively judged by those actions?
Should all Christians be condemned for the weekly High School shootings in the USA?
And don't say the crossbow attack was anything to do with race or religion, it was an English boy named Kyle Clifford in a personal attack on his girlfriend and her family. Don't use that to form part of your "pattern".
Yes there probably is a link to crime commited by British people, poverty, education, location. The same with other groups, no I don't think every black man is inherently more likely to commit crime than a white man if both were brought up in good environments but look at the statistic, currently black groups are over represented by a massive factor. Type in: uk crime statistics ethnicity per capita and look at the .gov results.

Germany is not far away from this scenario. The French and Italians are fed up with uncontrolled migration too.
Why do English people riot?? I’ve been a follower of your channel for sometime but have to say that I disagree with this video.
If your white and British and have an opinion your instantly labelled far right or racist and that is not the case. I am just a normal working class man from Leeds. I genuinely do not care where people are from or what their religion is. All I care about is having safe streets for my children to grow up on.
There’s double standards. The police backed out of Leeds last month and let the mob run wild for 6 hours. Two men was arrested in Manchester for attacking three police officers. Admittedly the police may or may not of used excessive force to control the situation but it was instantly labelled racist. And protesters aggressively took to the streets to demand their release. But the police didn’t turn up mob handed with batons at the ready.
British people of all race and religion have genuine concerns over what is happening in our country. And have no voice to express how we feel. Wanting a controlled asylum system does not make me racist. Not wanting a hotel at the end of my street full of illegal immigrants does not make me racist. Wanting safer streets does not make me racist. Wanting to preserve British culture and values does not make me racist.
Totally agree with you. Just like everyone at a Palestinan march isn't an Islamic terrorist. Not everyone out voicing there concerns and anger against our establishment is far right. Block calling a group like this will only marginalise and fester more anger. The authorities have alot to answer for they have basically encouraged violence by not repremanding each riot prior to exactly the same example set in Southport, London and hartlepool. So far it's been riot or turn up in numbers and we will cower and listen and also not bring justice to any involved.
Bollox, Southport & London etc. where racist thugs turning up for a POGROM. What were they doing at that mosque?
Imagine if they had got through, would anyone have cheered the lynchings?
In leeds the police had only about 60 riot police officers and only few supports.
They pulled back and the next day it was calm and silent.
“Everyone”. No a tiny fraction of idiots.
If only Farage had access to the inner workings of government and had some sort of public forum where he could ask any questions without fear of prosecution

(Q) Why is everyone in England rioting?
(A) They're not, tiny numbers are, everyone else is fed-up with the reactionaries and rioters.
Considering the levels of mass public violence that historically affect most societies, the real question is: why *don't* the British riot far more .. ?
My theory is that Britain has enjoyed a unique long spell of civil peace, since the end of the civil war in 1650.
My theory is that this was due to Freedom Of Movement: rather than rebel, disgruntled Brits just emmigrated overseas.
Brexit has closed the last of a string of those kind of options.
We're in for a rough ride.
But France has riots very often, and they enjoy the EU's freedom of movement
@@rhyshigga Indeed ... but compared to the period known as The Terror under Robespierre, it is today relatively peaceful.
Really intelligent piece of journalism from Laura. She's growing in confidence and professionalism and it's fantastic to see.
"An excuse" now, that certainly sounds like an excuse
Well, Nige, I'll take a wild guess and assume a 17 year old who was most probably a college or sixth form student would not be known to the security services. Try doing some research. If you ever bother turning up at parliament again, check out the House of Commons library.
I'm waiting to see if the Tories try to claim a higher ground on this, against Labour? Like, ""This wouldn't have happened on our watch!"" 🤔
However, Parliament is on summer recess, isn’t it?
They have stirred this up.
@@djdiscoordination639 That's right, DJ.
And now, Farage has heard that we're asking, "Why doesn't he ask his questions in parliament?" and he's thought to himself, ""Oh! I better get in there!"" and he's called for Starmer to recall Parliament. Not that he really wants to go abck to parliament during Recess, but he's worried about the stigma stains on his expensive but ragile suit.
Whatever the reason.
Violence solves nothing
It just encourages others to become violent.
It's simple. In my country we have a saying "when the crib is empty the horses start to bite."
I can't even begin to imagine what that's supposed to mean 😀
We have a saying too 'if people bring crates of cider and coke to a vigil, grinning while attacking emergency services, they don't give a toss about our kids'
@@octavianpopescu4776 The meaning is if they feel starving from something they feel is their right you will see angry people. Horses will do everything for you if they get the rewards they expected.
@@larsbjrnson3101 I thought it meant the horse wasn't shagging enough
@@larsbjrnson3101 it's a point that's being missed by so many here in the UK. You only get 'far-right' violence and anti-government protests when people feel marginalised, ignored, and even vilified for wanting to have a voice.
There's a law in physics: every action has an equal and opposite reaction. If you have an increase in people expressing anger and frustration, then there's a reason for it. The violence is a symptom of an issue that's been left unaddressed by those in power.
As a white building site worker in the north of england, i know that if you scratch the surface of the thoughts and beliefs of the average white british worker, you would be shocked to see the racial hatred that would be exposed.
Yes i believe it. its just under the surface.
It's a bit of fun for chavs
Honestly, just a bunch of chavs and skinheads getting bored and joining their bum buddies
They aren't .....everyone in England is not rioting .......
Don't give farage the airtime, he's a protagonist looking to cause trouble.
he also led a party he had only been leader of for 6 weeks to third highest number of votes in the election. Gifting Labour victory by taking Tory votes. Why ignore 4 million voters ? Should be more discussion and engagement over these issues , not sweep them under the carpet and pretend they don’t matter to people. That just bottles things up and leads to what we are beginning to see happen now in terms of protest and violence.
Sounding a bit like an autocrat.
He is a terrorist. He promoted hate using rumours not facts and justified the resultant hate for the hate marches that are taking place by Rent A Mob. The 40-50 year olds are leading the chants and getting younger men to go forward to enact the disorder. Well orchestrated anarchy. We will not be bearing any destruction of our properties.
I really don't know why the title to this video isn't 'why is everyone in England revolting?'. Come on guys.
The FAR RIGHT riot
We must accept children will die with mass immigration/ cheap labour for capitalism
Wetherspoons is shut.
It’s because they are the only ones that care about the UK
no it aint im just off for a pint of trooper so it better not be or im having a riot
Snobby comment.
@@paulgibbons2320 Snowflake 😂 It was cleary a joke
@@paulgibbons2320True comment, have you seen the demeanor of 90% of people at these bullshit protests?
Makes me sick to see people destroying their own home!
These people need prison!
Any thoughts on the machete yobs.
I was thinking the ones using machetes and hunting knives chopping up defenceless little girls were the ones who needed prison, not the ones protesting AGAINST them, but okay...
What about the riots in Leeds a week earlier? Any thought? What about the MPs shouting Alluh Akchbar? You sir, need to educate yourself.
jobs food housing , would probably be cheaper than prison
@@hayleyxyz Have you actually been to places like Afghanistan? I have in service of my country and was medically discharged due to injury. When a government allow illegals to enter the country in their millions from dangerous countries, they endanger the British population. We have immigration laws for a reason. That's not a hard position to take. If you did some research, you'd see the horrendous amount of no go zones in the UK and the amount of extreme radicals online spreading their hate all while living a free lifestyle thanks to the British tax payer. One side is bad the other is rightly angry.
Everyone in Britain ? Or just the hard of thinking racist gammon ?
The question was "Why is everyone one in England rioting?" The reason is they are disgruntled and the reasons can obviously be different for different people and this is the same the world over, not just England. My view is the biggest reason for this is financial, people are seeing the wealth divide and are blaming certain sections of society for their ills. The trouble is they are not blaming the right sections.
Um, no? It’s because of the Southport murders…
You've only scratched the surface and explained very little the deep reasons why
What do you think?
It's amazing that we have had an in knife gangs, machete riots, moped thieves etc etc but the one thing that gets an increased police presence is a bunch of EDL types kicking up a bit of a fuss. What the eff is wrong with Starmer!?
27 coppers in hospital what do you expect
@@clairejohnson2264 why didn't they just run away like they did in Leeds?
@@DeTroutSpinnaz They were protecting the people barricaded in the mosque
The headline is misleading - everyone in England isn't rioting! Most people aren't rioting!
They want a fight but dare not join the Army in case they are sent to fight
Did you crystal ball tell you that?
Yeah this is far right - rabble rising been going on for 10 years
Working class are fed up with being ignored.
It's not even that bad in England. Genuinely. It is expensive dowb south where I live and i do bump into the odd idiot who is closed minded but honestly, most people i know who think like this soend too much time online or get it from their parents or something.
I love it's multicultural over here. I've met good and bad people from England and people who moved from abroad. It is irrelevant and itnis made to be more compliant than it needs to be.
I don't know, try asking the French?
Can someone please tell me how these riots are going to solve anything
? If this had happened in India or South America the killer would have been torn to shreds in the street.
It’s not everyone, it is, however, a British (English) tradition.

The riot by Romani people who have been in this country for hundreds of years?
@@zoranblackie5921 I served in the British forces for 18 years. I've actually been to dangerous countries like Afghanistan. When a government allow illegals to enter from dangerous countries, they are in fact, endangering the British public. We have a legal migration policy for a reason.
