Still remember that day .. Right before their set - I was fortunate to be inside the store while the band was up front , just feet away , waiting to start .. I did not have the courage to say ' hi ' - sure wish I would have requested a photo with them , back when .. Still listening today
    😊

This is great. I've never seen Tim in an interview. It was nice to go down memory lane with Club Dada, Trees and George Gimarc's Rock and Roll Alternative (KZEW and KDGE). And I was one of the 16,000 that went down to Bill's Records & Tapes (Spring Valley & Coit) to buy Bill. AND it was so great to see to see TD live for the first time last month in Dallas. They were SOOOOOOOO good!

You never lived life if you didn’t get to see TD at Trees, or Rick’s Place …
    Great interview guys! 🤘🏼

I saw these guy's LIVE before I bought the CDs. Back in 95. The set included a mix from Bill, and iaaef. Closing with PRICK! I was sold after that. Thank you TIM, and all the others as well. Still remember that concert for many reasons, ALL GOOD!😊😊😊😊

Thank you so much for this gathering. That music and the heart and mind of that man. Has Inspired and pulled me through many emotions and times in life. He was the main reason why I started wanting to write music. Thank you! 🙏 Adam (Osciantern) UK

It's crazy this was only 3 months ago. Tripping daisy was prob the biggest influence for me .. this interview is great. I absolutely love that eras distinct Texas sound and those specific rock bands.

This was amazing! Great job, Ryan. I Am an Elastic Firecracker was the first CD I bought with my own money and is extremely special to me.

I just listened to both I am an elastic firecracker and Jesus hits like the atom bomb yesterday! Some of my most favorite music! The first time that I saw a tripping Daisy was at Spirit fest in Kansas City and I believe 1995! What an eye-opener!

What a great interview, I've been a fan of Tripping Daisy and Tim since I was a kid, chased down every Tripping Daisy show around D/FW as soon as I got my own wheels and I can't think of anything I would've asked Tim that wasn't asked in this interview. 'Jesus Hits Like The Atom Bomb' cracked the Tripping Daisy Code' couldn't be more of an accurate analogy. I don't know the host, but I'd rock a Tripping Daisy album with him any day, he gets it....and what can you say about Tim, he's just as cool and awesome as he ever was!

I’ll never forget seeing these guys at the Curtain Club. Like ‘98maybe ‘99. I saw them at Rock Fest, too, which was surreal, but the Curtain Club show will always be my fave. Btw I went to Bills records and tapes to buy my copy of Bill. The shoutouts on this show, from Bill’s to Dada to the Basement, to 94.5 the Edge, really took me to a special place. Thank you

This is such an incredible interview. (Came here via Tim's retweet.) Bill and I Am An Elastic Firecracker are such staples of my youth. I am 41 now, and growing up with those records was amazing. I remember asking my parents for Firecracker on CD for Xmas. (And let's talk facts, Jesus Hits is still, to this day, a musical achievement!) Subbed!

Huge fan! I met him at one of the Christmas shows in the early 2000s! I also was a good friend of their first trumet play, Chris! He invited me to hang out at one of their rehearsals for a Christmas show! Good times!

Well this explains the stamp sheet quute well, never really understood that inclusion in the booklet (or even knew it was a thing until maybe my third or fourth copy, all used).

Living in Iowa, never got a chance to see them. But Elastic Firecraker is one of the few albums I think is absolutely perfect. Dig the others but I just latched onto to that one. Still jam it to this day.

Cool to see this. I saw TD live in Lubbock, TX 2 different times when I was in college. My friends were from the Dallas area and got me into the band. We all still listen to these albums on the regular. I live in San Antonio now, but went back to Lubbock last year and went to Ralph's Records and Tapes and looked for TD albums. I bought the "Get it On" EP and have had it on repeat for a year now in my pickup truck. I know see how the band made up songs on the fly.
