Confused between tgp plus r v3 and the rest
Will upgrade to lv2 armour anyway

If protection is the most important factor for you I would recommend going with leather over textile. Moving on to the armor IMO a jacket equipped with Level 1 armor is more than sufficient. All of the race suits we are riding in and have ridden in (crashed in as well) all have level 1 armor in them, each time I felt the armor did its job very well. - Van

My current mesh jacket is tooo old, needs to retire very soon
I can’t seem to find the slot for the chest protector
Open the jacket and find the zipper at the bottom of the jacket on the inside. Unzip this and slide your hand in between the inner mesh liner and the outer shell of the jacket to find the pocket for the chest inserts. - Van

How os the jacket in cold weather?
You would need to use some sort of base/mid layer to stay warm in the cooler temps. - Van

It is well vented so you will get wet in the rain. - Van
Looks a bit tight under the arm. Van Minor probably likes that.
Max prefers his gear to fit a little tighter. - Van
Alpinestars T-SPS Air vs AST-1 V2 Air
The SPS is a waterproof jacket and the AST-1 is a heavily vented mesh so they are very different jackets. IMO both are excellent, just very different. If you want a nice hot weather jacket option to compare to take a look at the Alpinestars T SP X Superair Jacket. @@sportbiketrackgear Sorry for so many questions but I am having a hard time in selecting between these two in terms of quality Alpinestars AST V2 Air or Alpinestars T-GP Plus R V3 Air?? which is better in terms of quality?
damn 5’11 and he’s wearing a small there’s no chance at 5’6 it would fit me unfortunate
The sleeves and the body of the jacket will be a little longer on you than on Max but I am sure you would still get a good fit from this jacket if your weight is similar. - Van

End of the day these jackets are pretty similar. Go with the one you like the look of the most as they are both excellent. - Van
