Me neither and I have to admit I kind of eschewed the whole idea of plastic decks ....until I received my first plastic deck, there's no turning back for me, I'm about a graceful as blind-drunk elephant so the durability is such a relief for me.
One of the bad things about plastic is that, being cheap, it is often used to make disposable items, despite the fact that it doesn't break down... but in the case of tarot, since tarot decks are not disposable, the indestructability of them becomes an asset.

They have released a standard thick option which I received a few weeks ago - also went with the burnt orange back 😉. It's great but the finish is not as good as the standard smooth. Thanks again for heart felt video. I've also been a fan of tarotbyseven's deck of the bastard, but feel the art styles are too different. The etteilla lines are softer and Pixies are a lot harder and thicker. But absultly I love her work..People like her and Reall, inspired me to do the CS Tarot.
Yes. I purchased one of you decks and i live it. Everything about it, size,colors,texture,smell,feeling while shuffling, this is my souls deck. I am so happy and grateful. I purchesed few other decks but nothing feels that way like your decks. So thank you very much. I cant even express my feelings and gratitude towards you. Just love you and your work 🙏🖤🤍

I'm still definitely entrenched in the honeymoon phase of the 100% Plastic RW (I've truly never felt more connected to a deck, I really do carry it everywhere with me) but I'm excited to see another manufacturer's take on the plastic card and they did seem to be just ever so slightly thicker than my RW. I used vanilla to get rid of the smell on one of my decks. (Used a cotton ball with a few drops then put in a plastic bag with the deck for about a week) 🤓
Plastic decks! Oh Esther, how much I love a few I have! I'm such a water baby, I spend a lot of time at the beach and even more in my bath tub with a special tray to go over it where I take my cards to play with! And plastic decks have been my best friends! I really like the Golden Thread Tarot, so different from the Deck of the Bastard but both are so very nice to hold and shuffle! The US Games RWS shuffles so wonderfully, but the smell really gets me, to be honest! I tried everything to make it go away, but nah, the smell is still there! OMG! Now I'm typing it all and you mention moi! Mwaaaaa! I actually want all of my favourite decks to be available in plastic! I adore my CS in plastic, it's one of my most favourite shufflers, and one of my absolute favourite RWS! Plus I adore Conrad! My other huge favourite plastic tarot is the Ellis Deck! It is so wonderful and I feels it has been made for me LOL...and then there are plastic lenormand decks (a huge lennie enthusiast here)..

I printed up a custom plastic deck at Make Playing Cards, 3 1/2 x 2" in size, and while it's lovely, man that tiny little thing is heavy! A solid slab o' plastic. I'd intended it as a portable deck always living in my backpack, but I question whether it's light enough to carry around all the time if I'm not sure I'm going to use it. So nifty, though!
New sun here!!! I too love to just collect them! There’s something about every deck I have that I love… the “foil” decks are so beautiful but you’re right… you can’t shuffle or read with them! So I only bought 1 that I keep in the original box & only take out if I want to switch it up!! I can’t seem to find your “holy grail” deck anywhere unless I’m just not looking in the right places lol!!! But I’m in love 😍 Haha! Ok TY!!! ✨

The Make Playing Cards website is so frustrating. I hate it. They make it impossible just to browse, and if you don't know the exact name of something, you can never find it.
In Mascha's plastic vid, she mentioned she requested a deck made on Make Playing Cards to be plastic. I was like, "Wait, you can do that??!!!" Sure enough, for an extra $25 you can. :) Just got Luke's Vintage Minchiate in plastic and I love, love, love it.

You'll love the standard smooth..... The US Games plastic is not as nice, in terms of its feel - but it's quite good. The smell is difficult for some folks...
This is very interesting ! I share your point on view about paper decks, the better quality we're always looking for, etc. And then again, about "dead trees" I might look at plastic also as a "dead thing" or something that had to die in order for human to recreate another object. At some point everything has to die, has to transform itself. Nature does it naturally, of course, and therefore we find it normal. The sand dies, the snow dies, the bones die, everything turns into something else that could become handful for us. But the moment we do it ourselves, we find it abnormal because it's an intervention in a process that does not need us. The question is how do we do it, how do we intervene in the process of life and transformation. Some people think that we don't have to touch anything and let Nature do it's job but at the end of the day we still have to eat and put clothes on. Even vegetables are alive (I wave at vegan people here lol). It's a fact that we intervene, it's part of the deal. The question for me is how do we do it properly, respectfully, harmoniously; knowing that transformation, death, is coming along for the greater good. So what I mean is that even dead things are alive. In this world no material thing can exist without life in it whatever form they take. Matter is life so if it exists it's alive.
Ivy Feng's Wheel of Fortune has a plastic deck, it is the smaller version. Carol Herzer's decks have a plastic-eey feel and bend. They're gorgeous... i have a review of all my Herzer decks on my channel (but, alas! They are not the BEST shufflers) I don't have the deck of the bastard. I think my fav is Golden Thread! So love that riffle shuffle! 😉❤🌈
I'll take a peek at your review of Herzer's decks. The price point has always deterred me - but I can see how much folks love them, and how special they are!

Hello. Thank you for responding. I'm only just now seeing your response. The Arnault deck seems to be the only game in town for TdM. I'm plastic curious lol.
