Although not actually performed this way on White Lion’s Big Game album, Greg D’Angelo pulls off this 16th note trip sticking version with one hand going down the toms and both feet doing the 2 and 3 on his double pedal in their video of Golden Earring’s “Radar Love” during the drum solo break right after the guitar solo. It’s a cool visual for the audience and actually easy to pull off if you’re used to doing triplets; instead of tom/tom/kick (LRkick…or, if you’re right-handed, then RLkick), just change it to tom/kick/kick. THEN…practice mixing up your triplets with one tom/2 kicks and 2 toms/one kick…back and forth without missing a beat…really cool visual. Great vid!!!
